One of our Clients recently asked if we could carry out refresher Face Fit Testing for their 10 employees who would be working across two separate sites, one in Salford, the other in Manchester City Centre.
We were happy to oblige and after carrying out refresher training, all 10 were successfully tested wearing half face masks with FFP3 filters.

January 2026 - the busiest start to a year since Virgo Safety Ltd started nearly 4.5 years ago!

We have Clients with new projects commencing (between 1 month to 2 year durations) who we have been assisting with documentation and getting sites set up. These will all be supported also with monthly H&S visits.

For the third consecutive year we have commenced the annual Academy H&S audits for a valued Associate. These will run until mid year.

Numerous H&S Inspections within the construction, refurbishment and M&E sectors undertaken.

Several in person H&S Consultancy days.

New Safety Management System finalised for a Client which is set to be rolled out in February.

And 4 new Client enquiries 👍

A flying start to the year and looking forward to what the next 11 months will bring.

That's a wrap for Virgo Safety Ltd for 2025! And time for some rest, relaxation and reflection.

2025 has been Virgo Safety Ltd's busiest and most successful year to date after 4 years in business which has also seen us expand with Gary Moore joining the Company in April 2025 to further expand our service offering, knowledge and experience within the Manufacturing and Engineering sectors.

We would like to say a big thank you to our valued Clients and our trusted Associates for the collaborative working over the course of the year. It keeps going from strength to strength.

2026 is shaping up to be a further year of growth, expansion and further collaborative working (more exciting details on that to be shared soon) so that Virgo Safety Ltd can provide additional services to our Clients and trusted Associates.

Exactly 4 years ago today I started Virgo Safety Ltd initially as a sole trader and then Ltd in April 2023.

It's been a rollercoaster of a ride over the last 4 years as many business owners will appreciate when starting out. These last 12 months have been a learning curve in several areas and I have emerged as a better business owner as a result thanks to advice, discussions and guidance from mentors who have given me their time, experience and knowledge - many thanks, you know who you are.

As always, I am grateful and thankful to all Virgo Safety Ltd's Clients for entrusting us to assist in all things H&S for their businesses and employees and for our continued collaborative way of working. Very humbled, thank you.

We also continue to work with valued associate companies to provide H&S services to their Clients in order to provide an excellent all round service. There are more exciting developments in the pipeline for this which hopefully we can share more details of soon.

And to Gary Moore (also fellow Director) for his continued patience, understanding and listening ear especially when I've been so busy working that we've not always had the proper time to spend together - thank you 🙏

Together we are excited for what the future holds in continuing to grow the business 😄

A Client in the internal strip out/refurbishment sector recently asked Virgo Safety Ltd to help them gain CHAS Elite certification for the first time.

We worked together to submit the application with the Client providing the necessary evidence in a timely manner and today CHAS Elite certification was awarded which the Client is very happy with 👍
The whole process has taken two weeks and is a testament to the collaborative working on this.

Earlier this week at Virgo Safety Ltd we carried out qualitative face fit tests for a Client in the refurbishment / construction industry using the Moldex Face Fit Testing kit.
In order to assist the Client, we carried out the face fit testing in a separate room on the refurbishment site.

As part of the face fit testing, advice was given to the employees on the reasons for a face fit test, the potential ill health implications related to dust exposure and that respiratory protection is to be used in conjunction with other dust control measures such as choosing the right building material (less requirement for cutting), water suppression, on-tool extraction etc.

We are pleased to announce that as part of the continued growth of Virgo Safety Ltd we have now joined the West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.

We are really looking forward to meeting and engaging with other business owners and their businesses within the West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce at various events over the next 12 months.

It's been another busy month so far here at Virgo Safety Ltd with lots of ground covered including -

* Completion of numerous site specific RAMS including high risk and complex activities including roofing works and working on an airbase

* Completion of several Construction Phase Plans for small refurbishment, extension works and new build commercial industrial units

* Several site inspections across the construction, refurbishment and manufacturing sectors

* Sorting out numerous SSIP accreditations for Clients for CHAS, Construction Line and CQMS

* Review of policies for several Clients in different industry sectors

* Onboarding of a new Client to provide competent person service, SSIP accreditation and H&S audit

* And Jo sat her CITB H&S Test (full marks of course 😉) to renew her black CSCS card

Had a great in person business coaching session on Saturday with Fehu Business Coaching.

We had a debrief of the last 12 months with lots of things discussed and plans in place to support Virgo Safety Ltd with its continued growth plans 👍

We all need additional coaching and support at times and in business that's no different. Seeing things from an outside observer's perspective really does help and refocus for the bigger picture.

Excited with whats to come over the next 6-12 months for the business.
