Into Work Advice Service

Into Work Advice Service Cardiff Council's Into Work Service team; helping people to get into work and accessing work skills The Into Work Service is part of Cardiff Council.

We provide help to Cardiff residents who are looking to return to work or upskill in their employment. The Into Work Service will help clients to become more job ready, preparing them to return to work, preparing them for Universal Credit by managing their money and making online applications for benefits. Prime examples of help offered are:

- CV writing
- Job application forms and covering lette

- Job searches
- Access to computer facilities
- Support in applying for Universal Credit
- Access to work skills training, such as Manual Handling, Food Safety, First Aid
- Interview techniques
- Work placement and volunteering opportunities
- Confidence building
- Access to funding for training*
- Access to financial support to remove barriers to work (i.e. travel expenses, interview clothing, childcare costs)

* Please note this is subject to eligibility criteria

The Into Work Advice Service is based from the following locations and times:
CENTRAL LIBRARY HUB: Monday to Saturday 9am - 6pm (Thurs: 10am - 7pm/Sat: 9am - 5:30pm)
BUTETOWN PAVILION: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
GRANGETOWN HUB: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (Weds: 10am - 5pm)
GRANGETOWN PAVILION: Wednesday 10am - 4pm
ELY AND CAERAU HUB: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (Thurs: 10am - 5pm)
ST MELLONS HUB: Monday, Wednesday and Friday (Mon & Fri: 9am - 5pm/Weds: 10am - 5pm)
POWERHOUSE HUB: Thursday & Friday 9am - 5pm
LLANDAFF NORTH AND GABALFA HUB: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (Mon: 9am - 5pm/Wed & Thurs: 10am - 5pm)

Fel rhan o'r cwrs, ymunodd Cerys Atkin, dylanwadwr Cardiff Love List, â sesiwn i rannu ei phrofiad o weithio yn y diwydiant, gan gynnig mewnwelediadau i greu cynnwys dilys, adeiladu cynulleidfa ar-lein ac archwilio cyfleoedd yn y sector digidol.

Cyngor Caerdydd Department for Work and Pensions - DWP Cardiff Love List

📹 Into Work Advice Service collaborated with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to deliver a bespoke content creation course, introducing customers to digital and social media careers. Participants learned how to plan engaging content, develop ideas, use online platforms and gained hands-on experience with video editing tools and techniques.

As part of the course, Cardiff Love List influencer Cerys Atkin joined a session to share her experience of working in the industry, offering insights into creating authentic content, building an online audience and exploring opportunities in the digital sector.

A DWP representative said: “The collaboration between Into Work Services, Adult Learning Cardiff and Jobcentre Plus has been fantastic. The course was designed to be supportive, inclusive and engaging, helping participants build confidence and develop valuable content creation and digital skills. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to future initiatives together.”
