A well-established Travel company in Canterbury are looking to employ a new member of staff to deal with reservation enquiries and processing related documentation.
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Make sure that emails and incoming calls are responded to quickly and efficiently and all completed in a timely manner, ensuring all office procedures are followed and adhered to.
• Handle all telephone calls politely and efficiently.
• Maximise selling opportunities, adding customer value at every opportunity but making sure that margins are correct. Any margin mistakes should be advised to the reservations manager.
• Handle complaints promptly and professionally where able to, demonstrating genuine care and concern.
• Support Senior Management by being actively involved in agreed activities to exploit commercial and financial opportunities for the company.
• Staff are required to make themselves available for training and communication meetings, for which advance notice will be given.
• Staff must attend fire training as required by law to be familiar with the departmental responsibilities.
• Report any errors or changes to Airline, client and fare information to the reservations manager for amendment or addition.
• To undertake any other duties requested by the company’s management.
• Take on rota basis between 8:30am and 5:30pm, organised by Reservations Manager.
This is an amazing opportunity for someone that has studied travel and tourism.
• Starting Salary £9,000 per year to be discussed at the interview

HGV Apprenticeship - Queensborough

Working for an established transmissions company which specialises in the maintenance and repair of Fire Engine trucks based in Queenborough, Isle of Sheppey.

Your duties will include assisting with maintenance and repair of fire truck vehicles, to strip customers equipment in workshop as directed, to assist with repair and test of customers equipment, to undertake relevant training as agreed (college, training, establishment), to carry out duties as may be assigned, diagnosing vehicle faults, ordering parts and receiving deliveries and preparing vehicles for collection.

You must have good manual dexterity, an engineering aptitude, the ability to work safely and accurately, willingness and ability to learn, willingness to travel, knowledge of basic principles of vehicle repair but most importantly, have the passion to work in this industry.

Candidates applying must have Maths and English GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent) and must have completed a motor vehicle course at minimum level 2.

You will also be required to complete your training course, you will be working towards HGV Servicing & Repair Intermediate Level Apprenticeship Level 2

IT Apprentice Software Developer - Ashford

An excellent opportunity to join an established IT and Software Company based in Ashford.

As an IT apprentice you will be responsible for delivering the following key objectives:
•To be part of a proactive team of support staff responsible for delivering a high quality service
•Work closely with our CTO to complete IT tasks
•Help develop our hosted telephony application

•Must have grade C or above in English, Maths and ICT

Salary is dependent on experience - minimum £2.73 per hour

A well-known retailer in Canterbury are looking for temporary staff to help during their Summer Sale.

They are looking for people that are extremely helpful, hard-working and enthusiastic, to work for the Sale period.

You must be very flexible, because the shifts will vary.
The day you will definitely be working will be the Saturday 18th of July, but you should be available on Friday 17th and Sunday 19th. If you are available for some of these days, but not all of them, you can still apply for the position and discuss your availability at your initial interview.

This is an amazing opportunity to get some retail experience with a very well known company and if you do well, you may be considered for more seasonal work with the company.
The rate of pay per hour is :
Under 18 year old: £5.55
18-20 year old: £5.84
21+ year old: £6.70

The shifts will vary from 4-6 hours.
