First and foremost is Carly Pocock, Research, Enterprise and Knowledge Mobilisation (REKM) Officer at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Here is Carly explaining a bit about her role at Unitemps CCCU:

“I support Unitemps with external vacancies, helping to place students and graduates in job openings with local businesses across Kent and Medway.

“My role helps to provide opportunities for students to gain invaluable skills and work experience that will enhance their CV ready for when they start their careers.”

Help make new students feel welcome as they start their first year at university!

We're looking for current CCCU students and recent graduates to become Welcome Fair Assistants.

You will support with setting up welcome fair events on the 15th and 16th September - welcoming stallholders and student groups, handing out goody bags, keeping the event running smoothly and helping with packing up.

There are roles available on the following days:

1️⃣5️⃣ 2 people on Tuesday 15 September: 15:00–18:00 to help setup at the Sports Centre

1️⃣6️⃣ 1 person on Wednesday 16 September to start at 09:00–17:00 and support the welcome fair.

You'll need good communication skills and to be comfortable speaking with groups of people.

You must be a current CCCU student or recent graduate.

We’re hiring Call Centre Assistants!

As a Call Centre Assistant, you’ll help new students get their CCCU journey off to a great start by answering questions and helping them navigate their first steps at university as they enter the busy September welcome period.

There are two positions available:
🔹 37 hours per week throughout the full assignment
🔹 37 hours per week for Weeks 1–2, then 18.5 hours in Week 3

You'll be a key first point of contact for students, handling enquiries, finding information, logging queries and providing friendly, professional customer service.

Experience in customer service, particularly handling phone enquiries, would be useful, along with confidence using databases and Microsoft systems.

We’re hiring a full-time Timetabling Support Officer!

In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of CCCU’s teaching timetable and the allocation of students to teaching, ready for the start of the new academic year. You will also support the coordination of non-teaching activities.

This is an important role with in the University, and is responsible for providing all of the University’s students and teaching staff with:

🔹Personalised, annual teaching timetables
🔹Scheduling of assessments
🔹Welcome and Induction timetables
🔹Ad-hoc room booking provision for the University community

Your responsibilities:
🔹Supporting the delivery of accurate student timetables.
🔹Managing team inboxes, calls and enquiries.
🔹Liaising with students and university teams to resolve timetable queries.
🔹Processing timetable changes and room bookings.
🔹Supporting reporting and administrative tasks.
