The difference between levels 2 & 3 are well-demonstrated by this graphic showing apprenticeship levels by subject. Construction, Retail and Agriculture (CRA) are very popular level 2 subjects, science less so. Conversely, science is a very popular level 3 subject whereas CRA are less-favoured.
