**JP Morgan Networking Event**

JP Morgan are hosting a pop-up event on October 15th at 10-4 inside the Cambridge Guildhall. Its a chance for students to grab a free smoothie, talk with employees and explore different opportunities.

JP Morgan are looking for people from the whole range of subjects and backgrounds and hopefully this is a first chance for students to get involved.

**St Catharine’s College Society Mentoring Evening - 9th October, 7pm**

The London branch of the St Catharine’s Society is hosting a Mentoring Evening at Allen & Overy’s London offices for members of the St Catharine’s Society (both current students and grads). A fantastic line-up of mentors from basically all sectors has been confirmed - they are Catz graduates, and you can speak to as many or as few as you would like on the night. The event is free and refreshments will be provided.

Dear Catz students. I work for a fintech company aiming to solve the challenges of making finance available to small businesses. We're already break even despite huge investment in growth - here's a recent article on the new funding we've secured to grow our loan book (http://www.commercialreporter.co.uk/commercial-news/small-business-lender-iwoca-boosts-funding-lines-by-50-million.html) - but we're now focusing on building a platform to enable integrating a small business finance offering into any of our partners' products.

I can promise interesting problems to solve - we are at the cutting edge of automated credit analysis for SMEs, as well as doing some cool stuff on marketing and CRM analytics, and web development.

We have a great working atmosphere - no suit required, pool, table tennis, snacks, the whole startup stereotype. We also regularly head off on retreats to work from an airbnb somewhere more fun than London - Morocco last November, skiing every year, and Sardinia coming up in a few days time.
