Would you be interested and enjoy working on site, as part of an engineering team, learning how to test, inspect and assess all types of buildings and structures?

The company has a fantastic track record of nurturing careers under the guidance of Senior Technicians and Engineers. With this job you will develop the following skills:

• Using site investigation testing and assessment equipment
• Recording engineering observations, note taking, sketches and photographs
• Data collation, analysis, and presentation of site data.

You’ll need a practical or technical background, a driving licence, and a willingness to work on site, typically 4 days a week and one back in the office.

No prior site experience is required, full training will be provided!

An ONC or BTEC qualification in Engineering or similar would be an advantage but is not essential. Your enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn are more important!

Working alongside Engineers, Surveyors and Technicians this is an excellent opportunity to learn specialist skills and build a career in structural building performance. Start as a Site Technician, learn new skills and progress to Engineer and eventually Project Management.

You’ll be joining a thriving consultancy who work in the UK and abroad with offices in the USA and Australia. They will encourage your development and invest in your career.

You’ll need a full UK Driving Licence and ideally already be locally based in Cambridgeshire or the surrounding area.

This is an exciting opportunity to start your career whilst continuing further education. No experience necessary and full study support given.

We are currently looking for a full time Junior Administrator to join an expanding practice on the outskirts of East Cambridge. You'll join the administration team who play a vital role in supporting the activities of a number of construction inspectors.

No two days are the same as you become involved in a wide variety of duties. This includes reading architectural plans, preparing quotations, using bespoke software for the submission of statutory documents, taking inspection bookings, handling client queries, bookkeeping and general administration duties to facilitate the day-to-day operations.

No experience is necessary and full in-house training will be given. You will ideally have an interest in construction or the built environment and be willing to learn and build your career in this sector. You will also be provided with full support to develop your qualifications by undertaking a sector specific NVQ qualification.

We are looking for someone with drive, enthusiasm and a passion for learning.

You will be part of a friendly and supportive team, supporting them with general administration and reception duties, in addition to more bespoke and specialist duties which help support a busy and expanding professional business. This includes some PA duties with company directors.

In return, you will receive a salary dependent on your experience - but expected to be between £16.5k - £19.5k, plus private health care and a host of health benefits. Working hours are 08:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday, with an early 16:00pm finish on Fridays. Career prospects and the opportunity to grow with the business are key benefits.
