Here's some interesting facts about Battersea Power Station you may not know!

But this iconic building in London opened it’s doors again in October 2022 and we thought it deserved a little post with these interesting facts: -

💪🏻 From the 1930s to 1980s, Battersea Power Station was a working Power Station. It once produced a fifth of London's power, supplying electricity to some of London's most recognisable landmarks, such as the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace

💪🏻 More than three times the quantity of steel used to construct the Eiffel Tower has been used in the rebuild, the developers have stated!

💪🏻 The power station's Boiler House is to become Apple's new London headquarters!

💪🏻 Visitors can pay to travel 357ft (109m) up the north-west chimney in a glass lift, emerging on to a 360-degree viewing platform.

It’s absolutely incredible how this Grade II listed building, which was officially de-commissioned in 1983, has now been renovated into a little world of its own for people to live, work, eat and play after being left dormant for some 30+ years.

Here is a picture of the world's largest Easter Egg, weighing OVER 500LB!!!

Made out of 3,500 pieces of aluminium, standing at 31ft tall and 18ft wide - Vegreville Pysanka is the world’s largest Easter egg and you can find it in Vegreville, Alberta, Canada!

And on that note… we’d like to wish all our clients and candidates a very Happy Easter! We’ll be back in the office on 2nd April 2024!

Hear me out….

You have a vacancy to fill and you think that seems so easy, I can do that myself!! 😁

……Yet you posted the ad and now your inbox is flooded with mostly unsuitable CVs that you just don’t have time to read! 😫

So, you think about using a recruitment company and yet just can’t get your head around the cost? 💰

If that’s the case, then THIS is worth reading: -

-- TIME IS MONEY-- 💰
Just like any other ‘service’ especially ones that go on behind the scenes, hours and hours are spent by recruiters doing that time-consuming task of sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates; thus leaving you to focus on YOUR DAY JOB.


Yes… But it’s still a difficult cost to swallow - I hear you say.


-- RETHINK YOUR THOUGHT PROCESS -- 🤔
Think of it like this, your vacancy has a salary budget, you have time constraints and whilst you can find some relevant people, you are struggling to find that STAR CANDIDATE


A DECENT RECRUITER will present you with carefully qualified candidates that you wouldn’t be able to find yourself (including ascertaining their remuneration requirements)


They will have access to tools that you don’t, have a much stronger network and be well-trained in all recruitment processes, from start to finish (including having those tricky conversations and negotiations).


In addition to this, having a ‘middle man’ can help with both the candidate and client being more open with the recruiter, rather than hiding their feelings and thoughts (worrying about upsetting the other party).

Finally, it costs nothing to use a recruitment agency. They only get paid once you have secured your ideal candidate!
