Purchase Ledger/Payroll Clerk - Felixstowe- £25,000 to £27,000k DOE plus bonus.
Our client is a leading logistic business, who are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger and Payroll Clerk. Our client offers its customers, international solutions, specialising in all freight transportation. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working in a busy purchase ledger role, which has covered all aspects up to processing payments. This role requires a strong reconciliation skill and timely response.
The main responsibilities of the role are,
Input all overhead invoices onto SAP.
Reconcile supplier statements and take appropriate action to update ledgers.
Dispute invoices in query and chase regally to resolve.
Ensure invoices in query are investigated and cleared for payment.
Investigate ageing balances owed to suppliers and determine appropriate action.
Process weekly and monthly payments by Tuesday close of day.
Send remittance advices to suppliers.
Implement SAP payment wizard.
Implement payment block in SAP.
Ensuring effective controls are in place re new supplier set ups, and authorisation of invoices.
Accurate record keeping.
Digital archive solutions.
Verify change of bank details.
Update bank template.
Reconcile the bank daily.
Weekly and monthly in-house payroll.
Yearly right to work.
HMRC reporting and payments.
Assist other team members on all other tasks required of the department.
