CAREER ADVANCEMENT IN UK:

Dependant Visas

Home Office is getting stricter and stricter by the day. They are trying by all means to limit dependants. The only problem for them it’s within the confines of the law to bring dependents under skilled worker visa. Hence the only way is to tighten the screws.

Having done so many applications, I have noticed Home Office have no one size fit all solution. I have seen people with all the paperwork being denied their visas even after paying huge amounts to immigration lawyers. Through my experience I have learnt that Home Office uses mind games and simply technicalities or errors. The most common ‘technicality’ that Home Office is pinning most applicants is the issue of date stamps. Deep down they know the child is yours but they are not convinced the child should be with you in UK when you are separated. Normally they ask why bring your child now when you initially left them home, or why get Guardianship with recent stamp now when the child never had any before. They will tell you, you just did paperwork now for reasons to bring your child to UK but you have no compelling reasons to support yourself.

Dependant Visas are like math equations. I was good in Maths at school such that when I came out with a B, I cried. They will tell you we know x is the answer but can you prove that x+xy=x. Suppose x+xy=x. We simplify by subtracting x from both sides, getting xy=0.
Either x=0 or y =0. Proving an equation is always a challenge as it carries more marks even if you guess the answer.
