Job description:

Ion People Selection are working in partnership with a long-established and highly regarded client who is currently delivering a major project in Derby and Norfolk. We’re now looking to add a skilled and reliable Fire Alarm Engineer / Technician to the team.

This role involves carrying out the installation and upgrade of fire alarm systems in line with the latest BS standards. You’ll be joining a professional site environment where quality and compliance are key, and where long-term work is available for the right candidate.

Nightshift; Sunday-Thursday

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 2 years’ experience working with fire alarm systems
Strong knowledge of installation, commissioning, and upgrades
Ability to work efficiently and to a high standard in active retail environments
Valid ECS card
Valid IPAF card
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
Operatives that can work away from home
Experience with air sampling and addressable fire systems

40 - 50 hours per week.

Requirements

Driving License.
Must have Industrial spray painting experience (3 years min required)
Must Have: CSCS, IPAF, TTP or ICATTS.
Fire Protection Experience.
Responsibilities

Maintain and clean painting equipment after each use
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
Mix and apply paint or other coatings to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns
Ensure proper coverage and finish quality
Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment when working with hazardous materials

Experience & Requirements

Preferred experience of working within and Industrial Cleaning environment
Very good high attention to details, and commitment to good practice
Work well under pressure and on own initiative
CSCS Card
Safety Passport
Rescue recovery(preferred but not necessary)
Current driving licence(preferred nut not necessary)
For this role candidates must be able to communicate well in written and oral forms due to Health & Safety training and site inductions.
