Experienced Chef Required – Prestigious Independent School

Our client is a high profile Independent Boarding & Day School on the edge of Salisbury Plain near Devizes, are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Chef de Partie with a passion for food to join our established kitchen team .
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following standard recipes
- Assist to maintain high food safety & hygiene standards
- Work to high standards of food quality and presentation
- Good interpersonal and front of house skills are essential.
Skills
- Proficient in food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of good food safety practices
- Previous Experience of working within a team but ability to also work independently
- Culinary expertise and creativity
- You will hold a City Guild 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
- You MUST be eligible for an Enhanced DBS & stable employment history with good references & have your own transport due to location.
Shifts and Wages
50 hours per week during term time and some school holiday weeks, including weekends and evenings on a rota, earliest start is 6.30am & latest finish 7.30pm.
You will not be required to work more than 15 weekends per year.
Salary £28,000 - £30,975 dependant on experience.
Benefits:
11 weeks each year when you are not required to work, this includes 2 weeks off over Christmas!
Uniform and meals whilst on shift.

Farm Shop Manager

One of our clients is looking for a manager to run their farm shop, they are looking for someone who is passionate about food and has with excellent customer service skills, which will enable them to bring passion to the customers.
The shop is already established and consists of f ambient and frozen food along with fresh milk dispenser. They are looking for you to merchandise new and exciting products with a future plan to offer a fresh deli.
To be successful in this role you will need a food hygiene certificate and a knowledge of retail sector parameters, it would be advantageous if you have an alcohol license and a knowledge of margins.
You will be required to work a 2-week pattern 1 week will be 6 days (day off in the week) and the second week will be 4 days off including the weekend.
The Shop is open Monday to Saturday 9am – 5pm and on Sundays 10am – 4pm. And you will have a 30 min lunch break each day.
Our client is looking to pay up to 28 K for the right candidate.

The Shop is located near Swindon however you will need your own transport to get their.
