I’m looking for somewhere to live in my caravan or a house, medium or long term, rent or buy in the Lampeter/Aberaeron area.

I’m Abi. I’m a woman in my 50’s, a craftswoman, healer & teacher of deep nature connection. I love plants and trees and like to sing. I am earth loving, spiritual, creative & practical. Friends say I'm gentle, strong & can be vibrant.
I’ve not been able to live in a house recently. I’ve been staying in my caravan as I'm acutely electro-sensitive & chemically sensitive – debilitated by electricity, batteries, phones, wifi, broadband, other technology & signals, mod cons, chemicals & some natural materials.
I’m also staying in my caravan because I feel most alive when close to the earth.
I’m looking for a peaceful green place to live long term or stay medium term. To rent or buy. Either in the caravan or an un-modernised house with land (not house-share).
Somewhere away from other houses, pylons, masts, telegraph poles, electricity substations, electric fences, electric cars and no, or very low, mobile & wifi signals.
I currently have access to drinking water, (well water) outdoor compost loo, car parking space, storage for wood & electricity in an outbuilding (because of my sensitivities/health conditions I have regular support with domestic tasks that use electricity). I’m ideally looking for something with similar facilities.
I’m navigating various health conditions so can’t offer practical work in exchange for a place to stay at the moment. But I can pay rent or buy a property.
I am a quiet, tidy, responsible tenant, living in earth centred and holistic ways and valuing real connection.

LOOKING FOR A PERMACULTURE HANDYWOMAN

I’m looking for a Permaculture Handy-Woman for a variety of off-grid making & maintenance jobs
I am a woman living off grid. Currently in the Aberaeron/Lampeter area.
I am living with disabilities and cannot do all the physical creating/making, maintenance and repair work needed for living off grid.
I am looking for a Handy-Woman with a permaculture approach, with skills and experience in woodwork, DIY, maintaining a caravan and creating/fixing off grid items. Someone to do a variety of jobs as they come up (or to help me find another suitable permaculture woman/person who can).
Current jobs are:
• sweep wood burner chimney in a caravan (I have the brush & ladder)
• mending a wooden storage box that’s rotted a bit & is leaking
• repairing a wooden & metal door
• Sourcing a wastewater carrier and pipe, and attaching the pipe to the sink
I am acutely sensitive to the modern world; I am Electro sensitive (ES) - debilitated by electricity, batteries, phones, wifi, other technology & signals. And I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity – debilitated by chemicals, perfumes, fragrances & some natural products.
This means only a limited rage of materials & products can be used. And you may need to use hand tools on site, instead of power tools (I have a range of hand tools – if you don’t have some)
I’m looking for a Handy-Woman who is kind, calm, patient & understanding; who will listen & work with me to find solutions, when necessary, within my limitations – putting together what we both know.
Although some jobs are straightforward, other jobs can involve taking time to discuss what materials and approaches can be used, and for you to take the time to research or source materials & products that may not be the ones commonly used for the job.
I already know some materials & products which are ok for me – but I'd need to test others as we go along & this can make the work slower & needing to be broken down into smaller steps than usual. We can celebrate the successes!
It will suit someone experienced, practical & who enjoys thinking outside of the box in realistic ways. And who is a neat & careful worker.
I am also looking to move in the spring, so there may be bigger off grid jobs in the future.

“I've just relocated to a new living situation. I'm looking for 3 PA's who, between them, will give me support 7 days a week, including weekends on a rota.

Initially, shifts are 4 hours in the mornings, but you'll need to be flexible as we work
out the shift hours going forward.

I have cPTSD, CFS and am acutely sensitive to the modern world – debilitated by mobile phones, wifi signals and other technology, electricity, chemicals & perfumes.

I am warm, friendly and I value real connection with the people that work with me. I'm earth-loving, creative, spiritual.”

Help is needed for giving practical & mental health support for every day living, communication, planning, problem solving and support managing the practicalities of living off-grid.

£16 per hour (registered self-employed)

I received this earlier today:
“Olive (Abi’s PA who traveled with her from Bristol) has walked up to the top of a hill to let us all know that Abi arrived at 5.30 this morning. The drive went amazingly well, and they stopped on the way and Abi was out of the car walking down the lane and smelling the flowers. She has been out in the sunshine this morning walking around the place - it is beautiful Olive says.

ES seems good where the caravan is - a little worse up the top where the house is.

Abi hasn't slept in the caravan but has been in and says it seems fine - at the moment she is sleeping in a bell tent that is already up and free for a week.”

Today, Abi is leaving the home she has lived in, in Bristol, and making the journey to Wales.

Abi lives with acute electrosensitivity and is moving to live in her caravan in an isolated area of West Wales.

As you will understand this will be a stressful and painful journey. Abi has not been able to leave her house for years because of the severity of her symptoms.

Any and all prayers, and love will be most welcome to help her on her way

Thank you to everyone who has already shared,
We are still looking…

VAN AND DRIVER NEEDED 13th May FROM BRISTOL TO WEST WALES
(Picture for illustrative peurposes only)

£20 hour + petrol (from your own base to Bristol, onwards to Wales and return to base - Welcome to camp overnight in Wales to avoid needing to make entire round trip in one go)

Abi, an artist living with acute electro and chemical sensitivity, is moving to mid Wales in May and we are asking for help finding someone with a vehicle that she can use to get to Wales.

Passengers will be Abi, plus her good friend and supporter, Al and her PA, Olive.

The van will ideally need to be petrol rather than diesel and the older the better with as little electronic accesories as possible. An EV would not work at all.

I’m afraid the van cannot have been used to transport chemicals or anything leaving a strong odour residue - including laundry

If the van is a leisure vehicle, the leisure battery will have to be taken out but this can all be discussed with Abi's PA beforehand.

We are ideally looking for a van that does not have battery operated keys and electronic door opening or electric windows.

Abi will not be able to tolerate the use of a SatNav or mobile phone to navigate, but the driver’s personal electronic posessions (phone etc.) can be transported separately to Wales with Abi’s possessions.

She has to move on the 13th May.

Abi is very sensitive to smells and chemicals so the van cannot have been used for transporting anything that could cause a reaction.

Also the driver would have to be prepared not to wear any perfume aftershave etc, and for their clothes to have been washed only in laundry products to which Abi has no reaction. If necessary, Abi has clothing that could be changed into before loading up the van.

The driver would also need to have showered using only particular products for some time leading up to the journey (we can send a list of products)

They would also need to be a non smoker/vaper.

Really sorry but, because Abi is so sensitive to electromagnetic radiation, she won’t be able to cope with anyone who wears a hearing aid, pacemaker or other medical device that has electrical charge.

It would ideal to find someone who is happy to be flexible with the route and taking small back roads, and stopping occasionally to rest.

A large car might work but a van is going to be much better because Abi can then sit inside an ES canopy which shields her as much as possible for the journey.

Abi will not be wearing a seatbelt so the driver will need to be ok with that.
