Women Lifers: Pennsylvania's Women Serving Life Without Parole, released by Real Stories as Dying Out Loud, has now reached more than one million views on YouTube.

The documentary also won the Royal Television Society Award for Best Short Form Documentary — one of the most respected accolades in UK broadcasting.

Resonant Music Licensing provided music supervision and licensing services for the film.

The music was drawn from Resonant's catalogue of independent artists. Raphaëlle Thibaut, Jon Brooks and Jamie Salisbury contributed six tracks between them, all credited on screen in the film's end titles.

Projects like this are a reminder of the role music can play in documentary storytelling. The best music doesn't draw attention to itself — it supports the story, the emotion and the people on screen.

Alongside sync pitching, Resonant has submitted 8 music supervision applications this quarter as we continue growing the music supervision side of the business.
