MedSolve UK are delighted to be working with our client, a leading cosmetic surgery clinic based in Marylebone, London and Watford, Hertfordshire. On their behalf we are looking to recruit an experienced RGN/ODP to work as a theatre nurse for their London clinic/theatre and a part time RGN/ODP for their Watford clinic.
Candidates will have:
RGN or ODP qualification
NMC or HCPC registration
Strong theatre experience in one or more of the following areas of perioperative practice: scrub role, circulating role, anaesthetic nurse assistant, recovery nurse.
Have an understanding and be able to demonstrate five star service to patients with a focus on safety and care
Positive and flexible outlook
Excellent organisation and communication skills
The Role:
Carry out perioperative roles with other members of the team to ensure safe and effective care
Ensure prompt session start times and minimise session over-runs through effective planning and organisation of theatre resources and workload
Be able to carry out pre-op assessments on patients, post-op wound care and assisting the team of consultant plastic surgeons, doctors in theatre.
Ensure that all checks and counts are carried out and recorded, including written documentation, ensure all specimens and samples are dealt with correctly
Ensure that all tracking and recording procedures for implants, instrumentation, and equipment are maintained
You will be working on a range of plastic surgical procedures including liposuction, abdominoplasty and breast augmentation as well as laser procedures.
The core competency framework for which they provide extensive training is aligned to national guidelines and evidence based practice and was recently rated Outstanding by the CQC.
