✨ Imperfect progress is still progress ✨
I’m not perfect—especially when it comes to keeping up to date with my social media. Even with a strategy, life sometimes takes the wheel, and that’s totally okay.
So here are some small wins from the past few weeks that I’m proud to share:
1. Spoke on a panel for students about making freelancing work (I promise I was more interested than I look in this photo).
2. Had my very first review published.
3. Shared why it’s OK to make mistakes—perfectionism, be gone and just do the thing! Also, networking is important (I know, but I promise it’s easier than you think).
4. My second published review (feeling on a roll, wahoo!)
5. Had the pleasure of meeting Imarhan, a truly amazing gig and experience.
In the coming weeks, life permitting, I’ll be sharing more about what I do and how I can support artists, freelancers, and anyone in the music business.
Big things are coming—just trust the process 🙏💚

Folk singer-songwriter Izzie Auty-Dawe is on a journey of poignant storytelling. Izzie sees her music as a personal diary on her journey through life, and is taking us on that journey with her. She manages time and time again to put things we all feel into the perfect words, and help us reflect on our own experiences with the perfect backing track to listen to. Her previous songs have tackled the difficult issues of grief, fallouts and coming of age.

I've worked with Izzie over the last 6 months or so, mainly assisting with the release of her latest single 'Front Row Seats' and helping with the PR side of her music. Her dedication and work ethic make her a pleasure to work with, and I can't wait to help her get to the places she deserves to go in the industry 💚

Introducing…

Jazmyn combines Jazz, Indie and Pop in order to produce a truly unique sound. They are a 5 piece band consisting of powerhouse female lead vocals, electrifying rhythm and lead guitars, jazzy bass and dynamic drums. The songwriting focuses on looking towards the future - whilst learning from the past mistakes - and Laura's euphoric vocals soar over the jazz-filled musicality.

I have been working with Jazmyn since the beginning of 2023 and love their energy, passion and commitment to their music. We have a huge amount of material and all sorts of plans in the works, so we'll no doubt be getting you moving with more funky tunes soon 👀👀

Before I launch into introducing the amazing people I work with, I thought I would tell you a bit more about myself and why I am doing what I'm doing…
Music has been my life since the age of 6 when I started playing the violin and piano. Throughout my childhood and teens I played in a variety of orchestras and got the opportunity to play in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Gloucester Cathedral and Tewksbury Abbey. I studied music throughout my school and A-level years, whilst also writing and performing as a singer/songwriter on my guitar. I always knew I wanted my life to revolve around music.
As we all know, life doesn't always go to plan and somehow I ended up working the 9-5 in a high street bank. Whilst being a soul sucking job, it helped me to identify my skills in people and project management. I decided to combine these skills with my passion for music and so last year I took the plunge, quit my job, moved to Bristol and started studying Music Business at university.
This is what led me to doing what I am doing today. In the last year I have met so many inspiring people, learnt so many important things, and taken every opportunity that has come my way. One thing I have learnt is that the music business world is a complicated one and can be hard to manage. My passion is in helping grassroots musicians navigate this world so they can focus on creating their music without worrying about the rest of it.
