This senior sales role focuses on the new logo acquisition of our highest valued prospects. We need a self-driven and motivated individual who wants to expand their career with a fast-growing software company. This role is right for you if; you set yourself high goals, are intrinsically motivated, deploy creativity and innovation in your approach to selling, and possess a strong intellect. You will thrive if you can easily explain complicated concepts and you understand what it takes for a team to win. You must be able to demonstrate a successful track record selling value and uncovering strategic business pain.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings and revenue objectives by focusing on your assigned named accounts within the Fortune 1000
Develop and manage target account plans to support lead generation and engage key prospective customers
Grow and develop the pipeline through creative prospecting into key strategic accounts, providing creative and compelling software demonstrations, engaging in deep discovery, and presenting tailored business solutions through value-selling techniques
Ongoing and reliable weekly, monthly and quarterly pipeline and forecast management
Execute a sales process that optimises resource allocation and results in winning new business for the Company

Ideal candidates may have:

10+ years of experience selling Market research, insights, software, or distilling complex concepts resulting in revenue generation
History of partnering with CPG, Retail, Tech, Financial Services, Media/Entertainment and Healthcare companies
Experience selling to Market Research, Data and Analytics, Data Science or marketing functions
An understanding of sales techniques such as Sandler, SPIN and Challenger
An understanding of how organizations leverage data and insights

An understanding of how organizations leverage data and insights
Nice to have:
Experience with social media analytics, social media management, social CRM or other social systems.

The amount of new businesses that don’t make it past the first three years of trading is around 60%. Not only that, 20% of new companies don’t even make it past the first year. 20%.

There are many reasons why these numbers are so high; poor planning, lack of financial backing or hiring the wrong people. 

Hiring the wrong people can cause massive issues for a company; Loss of time, customer relationships can be damaged, huge financial implications, team morale compromised and even the company reputation could be on the line if a disgruntled employee leaves a few unfair reviews, for example. For start-ups, the risks are much, much higher. 

The people employed will set the tone and culture for a business. Working with a specialist recruiter can help your business grow and beat the competition. Every company will have a business plan, but not necessarily have a recruitment strategy.

***Candidate Experience***

Living in a world of technology means that you can instantly download the latest film, order the tastiest food and even order a birthday present to arrive the very next day. We all spend so much time online, meaning that we’re all aware of what makes a good online experience.

That being said, there are no excuses for an old school application process, slow loading job pages and lengthly application forms. If anything, it will put people off from applying.

Just imagine, spending ages perfecting your latest CV, rewriting it several times to ensure it’s on point, only to come across an application form where you have to transfer all of your information into it!

A candidate experience has a direct impact on the employers brand. Remember, a bad experience will prevent you from having the option to hire the best talent, simply because people will not bother to apply.

Also, just because things can be automated now days doesn’t always mean that they should. Prioritise streamlining your candidate experience, personalising elements but adding a human touch.

Take a moment to pretend. If you were going through an application process for your company, would you say that it was absolutely perfect?

Counter offers are on the rise!!!

Why?

Because it’s cheaper and less disruptive to keep existing staff rather than hire new people.

So you’ve just accepted a brand new position to propel your career and then the reality hits… You’ve now got to sit down with your boss, the one you’ve known for years, the one you’ve been on nights out with, maybe even been to BBQ’s together and now you have to hand in your notice.

It’s likely they will want to counter offer. They don’t want to lose you, you’re their best employee. Maybe they’ll get the Managing Director to have a ‘word’ to sway your decision.

Money, better job title, more reasonability and extra benefits are some of the things that are common when being countered.

Here’s some reasons why you shouldn’t entertain a counter offer:

80% of all employees who accept a counter offer are no longer with that employer after a year, 80%!!!
Fact it, 60% find themselves hunting for another job after 6 months.

Think of like this: Your boss may want to buy some time to bring in a replacement. How can they trust you now after demonstrating that you are no longer committed?

It’s tempting to take a counter, it’s comfortable, it’s probably more money and you feel more wanted. So ask yourself this; Why did I start looking for a new job in the first place? Why is my boss offering me this now and didn’t when I was happy? Who’s career does this benefit?

Ultimately you want to leave on good terms without burning any bridges. Tell them that you appreciate their offer, however it’s time to move on.

Remember why you made the decision to move in the first place and don’t look back.
