Great to connect with SCTP Network yesterday at the Amex Stadium!

It was a fantastic opportunity to meet members, network with local organisations and hear from expert speakers sharing valuable insight across the sector.

Events like this are so important for bringing people together, discussing key sector issues and sharing ideas that help support continued growth and collaboration.

A big happy birthday to Shaun Stephenson, our wonderful Apprenticeship Advisor! 🎉

This week we celebrated Shaun with a big lunch, as we always do, with a proper spread of English sandwiches, plenty of yummy crisps, and a few treats to mark the occasion.

We also got Shaun a voucher and a bottle of wine, red of course, as we know he loves it!

Shaun has been such an important part of the team over the past six years, and we’re all really grateful for everything he does.

🎉 Congratulations to our Apprentice of the Month for May – Shannon Hayes-Van Leer! 🎉

We are delighted to recognise Shannon Hayes-Van Leer, Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprentice at The Mohair Centre, for her outstanding progress, commitment and achievements. 🌟

💬 Her Skills Coach, Lauren McKinnon, shared:

“I am so proud of Shannon receiving this award, especially so early into her Level 5 apprenticeship.

Shannon has made excellent progress since beginning the course. She shows enthusiasm, commitment and professionalism in both her role within the setting and when completing her assignment work.

She engages fully in her learning, is responsive to feedback, and applies this well to her practice. Shannon is already working ahead of her expected targets, which demonstrates her motivation and determination.

She has been working hard to develop her skills as a Room Leader through learning about effective communication and by shadowing other team members within the role.

Shannon shows real passion for her role as the Two-Year-Old Lead and hopes to continue developing in this role. She is driven to take on further responsibilities in the future.

🐾 National Pet Month: Meet the Team & Their Pets 🐾

Meet Laura Tapscott, our Early Years Skills Coordinator, and her two adorable French bulldogs, Ivy and Mabel!

Ivy is blue, aged 5, and is six months older than Mabel, who is fawn coloured and currently 4. Ivy is very needy but beautifully behaved, while Mabel is a little menace and snores like a trooper!

Mabel is also not a fan of hoovers, brooms or mops, so cleaning has to be done when she is out of sight. 👀

Both Ivy and Mabel have absolutely no concept of personal space and love nothing more than cuddles. Laura says it’s like having two extra children! 🧡
