Are we finally seeing the UK recruitment market turn a corner?

After a long period of subdued hiring activity, there are some encouraging signs beginning to emerge.

Permanent placements are stabilising, temporary vacancies are increasing, temp billings are rising and starting salaries are moving upwards again, all pointing to a market that may finally be starting to regain some momentum.

But the picture is still mixed. Candidate availability remains high, while employers are continuing to compete for the right skills and experience. That suggests the challenge is increasingly about finding the right people, not simply finding people.
