🥪 HOW MANY FREE LUNCHES HAVE WE PROVIDED? 🥪

Over the last 6 weeks we have provided local children with free lunch every day 😊

Parents were able to call into our hub once a week for a weeks worth of lunch items for each of their children- this ranged from sandwiches to wraps to beans on toast and all included healthy snacks and a few treats ♥️

After calculating all the numbers today we have fed an amazing ⭐ 257 children ⭐ over the summer holidays!

The financial cost to our community hub to provide these lunches was a huge

💵 £1354 💵

We are a self funding charity and rely on grants and donations to continue all aspects of our work, we aren’t government funded or part of a large organisation so for us to provide this service for FREE we have to ensure we are continuously fund raising💰

We would like to thank Cross lane community shop who provided us with an £800 grant towards the cost of the lunches ❤️ this grant really helped to take a large amount of the cost off us as a charity 😊

We will continue this service every school holidays as we know how essential it is to the children in our community 🌟

👶🏻 NAPPIES & SANITARY PRODUCTS 👧

We offer nappies, sanitary towels and tampons all free of charge ♥️

Just call in anytime during our opening hours and ask for whatever you need 😊

We know these items can be expensive when you’re on a tight budget for your families weekly shop and we don’t believe women/girls should have to go without period products or babies without a clean nappy when needed 👶🏻

This week our menu for free children’s lunches is sausage rolls/cheese rolls, biscuit, yoghurt and fruit 🍇

Please call in Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday 10.30-12.30 to collect a weeks worth of lunches for your children 😊

We still have lots of pre loved and NEW uniform all ready to be taken completely FREE of charge so please take advantage and come in this week and have a look at what we have- we have Russell hall, Shibden and Foxhill plus PE kits!!

If you work during our opening hours but would like to come and look at our uniform please message us and we will try accommodate you 💓

🍝 PLEASE DONATE IF YOU CAN 🍝

We are always accepting and grateful for any food donations from the public 😊

We use your donations to stock our shelves and also give to people as extras along side their standard food parcel ♥️

We accept any food and toiletries as long as they’re in date please 🙏

We are situated on the High Street, same side as Marshalls Bakehouse- a few shops up ⭐

Please note- The donation box in TESCO is NOT ours!

We have an abundance of apples, bananas and bread if anyone would like to call in today before 12.30 and collect some you’re more than welcome 😊

No need to be registered, all free of charge just call in and mention you’ve seen on Facebook we have fruit and bread going spare 🍎

This week our free lunches are ham and cheese wraps ⭐

🥪 FREE LUNCHES FOR CHILDREN DURING THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS 🥪

Every school holidays for the past 6 years we have provided children with free lunch… this summer holiday we have been awarded some funding from Cross lane community shop to continue providing this service… but we are changing the way we provide it to hopefully help more families😊

Instead of providing single pre made packed lunches per children for collection every single day we are now offering collection of a bag full of items for you to make your own lunches with collection being only once a week.

We hope this means more children will have access to a lunch on the 4 days we are closed but also mean parents only need to collect once a week rather than each day ❤️

You will receive enough of the following to feed your children lunch for a week…

Bread 🍞
Ham, cheese or jam 🧀
Fruit and salad 🥒 🍎
Crisps 🥨
Yoghurts 🍮
Biscuit or sweet treat 🍪
Drinks 🥤

A huge thank you to Cross Lane community shop for making this service possible and enabling us to continue providing it for another year ❤️

👔 FREE UNIFORM SHOP IS READY 👔

Our uniform shop is now ready for collection from Tuesday and available until September ♥️

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10.30-12.30pm

We have Russell Hall, Shibden Head and Fox Hill logo uniform as well as plain polos, skirts, dresses, pants, shorts, ties, tights and PE kits in all sizes and genders

If you work during these hours but would like some items please message us and we can see what we can do 😊
