Job Seeker Warning: Recruitment Scams Are on the Rise 🚨
We have recently had several candidates tell us they have been approached by “recruitment agencies” advertising attractive job opportunities, only to be told that their CV needs rewriting before they can be considered.
The candidate is then charged for a CV writing service and once payment has been made, the recruiter disappears, the job opportunity in question is then nowhere to be found.
⚠️ Please be vigilant when job searching.
Before engaging with any recruitment agency, we recommend:
✅ Researching the company online
✅ Checking for a professional website and active social media presence
✅ Reading Google and Trustpilot reviews
✅ Verifying that genuine vacancies are being advertised
✅ Speaking to a recruiter directly if possible
✅ Being cautious of agencies that make CV services a condition of applying for a role
At Kick On Recruitment, we never require candidates to pay us in order to be considered for a vacancy. While CV advice can be valuable, it should never be used as a pressure tactic or tied to a potentially non-existent job opportunity.
