After 25 years with Platinum, Simon Hiles is stepping away from the business and into a new, very well-earned change of pace.

This week, our Industrial team got to see what happens before it reaches the basket.

They visited Neal’s Yard Remedies at their Peacemarsh Eco Factory in Gillingham, spending time behind the scenes with the people, processes and standards behind a brand so many recognise.

Small-batch production.
Hands-on quality checks.
Organic gardens.
Real people behind every bottle, jar and tube.

That’s the kind of context you don’t get from a job spec.

And it matters.

Say hello to our newest team player, Kyla Walker 👋🏻

She’s recently made the life-changing transition from being on her feet all day…

To sitting at a desk wondering why her back suddenly clicks when she stands up.

A true professional sacrifice, if you ask us.

Kyla joins our Regional team, bringing over seven years of hands-on experience, plenty of industry know-how, and the kind of personality that makes a team feel brighter within minutes of meeting her.

She’s witty, sharp, always up for a laugh, and very much here to learn, grow and get stuck in.

Since joining Platinum, she’s thrown herself into office life, team culture and everything that comes with starting a new chapter. We suspect, she also has a very strong appreciation for having her weekends back!

Outside of work, Kyla is making the most of catching up with friends, seeing familiar faces, and enjoying the occasional cheeky wine in the sun.
