This is a new one..

On Friday, my Head of E-commerce candidate requested NO INTERVIEW FEEDBACK.

Instead, they wanted a WhatsApp message, pretty much stating YES or NO, job offer or not?

No sugar coating, empathy, reasons, feedback or advice for next time.

I asked why, as it's so unusual.

They said that at this time in their career and life, they were confident in their ability to be their best self during an interview and so to be rejected would be down to factors they cannot control, such as skills, hirers desired experience, personality fit, etc.

It got me thinking.

Is there a time in your career where you're the 'finished article' or is this just a case of negative mindset?

Gracie joined the team in early 2022 after contacting us and impressing us with her friendly and personable nature, perfect fit for how we like to communicate! Gracie specialises in Admin and Office support recruitment.
Gracie likes to spend her time outside of work, shopping on ASOS 🛍 and searching out pun jokes to tell in the office or studying at night to gain a BA in Creative writing! ✍🏼
Oh and she's mad about her cats, meow! 🐱

Q. Why TwentyFour Recruitment Group and how long have you worked here?
A. I have worked here 2 years this March, 24 Rec genuinely cares about their clients and quality of candidates we send over. As a small team, it feels like a dysfunctional fam.

Q. What is the best part of your job?
A. Sitting next to Rob Davis!

Q. What is your favourite cuisine?
A. Italian - pasta and wine all day everyday

Q. If you are to relocate to any country/city of your choice? Where will you go? (If money was no object)
A. Italy or Greece - any place I can live near the ocean in the sun with stray cats all around

A. To eat as much as I want and never put on weight

A. Does shopping count? As the old grandma I am, I love a puzzle and watching crime documentaries
