Our Client is the Market Leader in living and fresh cut herbs in the UK, and as they move into the busiest time of the year, they are looking to increase their workforce of Machine Operators. They supply over 60 million packs of fresh cut herbs per year, and they need you to work on the ULMA machines to ensure these herbs are packaged correctly ready to go out to the supermarkets for sale.
About the Job
You will be an active part of the production/packing process within the company, ensuring that the ULMA machines are running accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for the herbs as they after they are weighed out by the team at the start of the line, to ensure they enter the machine safely, and that the machine is looking after them as the go through. You will be given full training on the machine, including how to change the rolls of wrapping, and also any minor repairs that may need to be completed during the day.
Requirements
You will need to be a motivated person who is eager to learn and wanting to progress in a job that offers continued training and support, the machine operators job is an active one, and you will need to be able to work quickly and efficiently with limited mistakes. You may have previous experience with the machines, or this could be a totally new job idea for you, but full support and training as a machine operator will be given, all you need to do is be motivated and able. You will need to be flexible to work on a shift pattern, with morning (6:00 to 14:00) and afternoon shifts (14:00 to 22:00), and safety shoes/boots and a high visibility vest are needed too.
Salary
This is a temporary to permanent job, with a starting pay of £6.95 to £7.80, with the potential that after 12 weeks you could be offered a job contract with the client directly.
