I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately, but honestly… I’ve barely had time to have a nervous breakdown, let alone keep up with socials. 😂

Life has consisted of:

🎪 Festival staffing. Including a 5-hour traffic jam on the M6… Not the one.

🏠 Battling DBS arrivals, update services, reference reminders and last-minute cover.

👹 Entertaining 2 feral children who have spent the summer testing the limits of: the snack drawer, my hearing, the English language.

🎂 Not one, but TWO kids birthdays. Including parties, sleepovers, presents and general financial devastation.

💍 A wedding anniversary, which we celebrated by climbing a f***ing mountain.

A trip to York. A trip to London. A utility room makeover. A hen do. A leavers’ prom.

🎒 BUT TODAY… THEY WENT BACK TO SCHOOL. 🙌🏻

Which means I can finally sit down in peace and enjoy a nice, quiet cup of tea…

…without someone asking for a snack. Or help finding something that is directly in front of them. Or asking me to watch them do a Michael Jackson routine for the 47th time.

So apologies for the silence. I’m still alive, still winging it, still answering approximately 7,000 messages a day, and still one minor inconvenience away from sitting in the garden with a bottle of w**e and pretending I’ve moved abroad.

Mum has survived another summer.

Now, where’s my f***ing medal? 🍷😂
