BNI Vista (Blackburn) - Business Networking in Blackburn and surrounding areas

06/01/2026

And we’re back!

After a couple of weeks time spent on festive recharge, our team was back at the Hampton by Hilton, Blackburn, for our weekly dose of business networking.

One of our newer members, Jawad Bhatti, was at the wheels of the feature presentation this week; educating us further on the benefits of his Spark platform, for companies looking to understand the true underlying factors behind their employees well-being.

Got to be the most cost-effective solution that we’ve come across, at just £2/month per employee!

Back again next Tuesday, bright and early. If you’re looking to boost your networking and referrals for 2026, get in touch to arrange a Vista visit ☺️🤝🏻

🔌 Spotlight on Danny from DWS Electrical! ⚡This morning at BNI Vista, we had the pleasure of hearing from Danny, who delivered an excellent 10-minute presentation about his work at DWS Electrical. 👨🏻‍🔧

Danny’s passion for both domestic and commercial electrical work really came through. From full rewires to EV charger installations, his team covers it all — always with a sharp eye for potential risks that others might miss. That attention to detail means safer homes, smarter businesses, and peace of mind for his clients. 💡

Whether you're looking for an electrician you can trust or want to learn more about the future of EV infrastructure, Danny's your guy. Great job today! 🔋

🌟 Power of Networking in Action! 🌟

This morning at our BNI meeting, we had a testimonial being passed to one of our amazing members, Alex from Blocklehurst & Sons. It's always inspiring to see the real impact of strong business relationships and trust in our group.

BNI isn’t just about referrals — it’s about building a community where we celebrate each other’s wins, growth, and client success stories.

Proud to be part of a network where word-of-mouth truly works! 💼🤝

Being specific with your referral requests is a proven and effective strategy.

There have been so many times where we have seen someone ask for a specific person and/or company, and then one of our members says “I know them!”

We’ve got an incidence here however where 2 of our members asked for the same introduction, but to a business we do not know (yet) - Crown Estates & Lettings, based in Blackburn.

Glenn Wallis, our resident Conveyancing Solicitor, would like to speak to them about working together to help their clients with the legal requirements around buying and selling their property.

Jacob McHugh, our Gas Engineer, works with lettings agents as their go-to contact for all of their boiler servincing.

If you know the guys at Crown Estates, let us know!

A glowing testimonial given at our meeting year day, from our electrician, Lee, to our gas engineer and plumber, Jacob 😊👍🏻

These two have started passing quite a few jobs between each other - which is what it’s all about 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Another impressive feature presentation from too. His business ProLek Electrical has been doing some great work on bespoke lighting and other electrical systems in new build homes - from design right through to installation.

He also spends a fair bit of time sorting out the mess left behind by some absolute cowboys …. Going cheap doesn’t pay in this game, and can be highly dangerous; like the example he gave of some shoddy work that left a woman with her house burned to the ground 😔

If you need a reliable, highly qualified electrician to turn to - either personally or for business - connect with Lee and arrange to have a chat.

More than ever, businesses are giving thought and focus on what they can do in support of charitable causes. Whether that’s through their own altruism, or the rise and publicity of CSR causes, relationships and projects.

Here at Vista, we have a fantastic local charity, PAC - Positive Action in the Community who are represented by the one and only Leroy Philbrook Pac at our meetings each week.

PAC are a local registered charity with the vision to have a community that gives the greatest opportunity for a safe, fulfilled and aspirational life, free from, homelessness, domestic abuse and poor mental health.

To achieve this they deliver a number of projects, and have facilities for providing their services, in both Pendle and Rossendale.

They are looking for support from the local business community. From business owners and leaders who want to make a difference in the area in which they live and operate.

To find out more about how you could help, please contact Leroy at [email protected]
