Here at Immediate Response Recruitment, we are in partnership and collaborating with a fantastic client who are looking to recruit a Senior Surveyor to join their team.
Senior Surveyor - Hybrid
Location: Birmingham
You must hold a UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
Salary - £38,500 + a car allowance of £1,680
Monday to Friday - Full-time, 37.5 hours
Key Responsibilities
· Provide leadership and expert technical knowledge to the organisation on surveying, all aspects of building maintenance and investment.
· Deliver a range of surveying services, to; implementing, monitoring, inspecting, diagnosing repairs, and managing contract works on a range of projects and services
· Support with the implementation of programmes of responsive and planned maintenance. Include regular performance monitoring, lifecycle costing techniques and quality management.
· Review property related customer complaints identifying the root cause. Manage disrepair and environmental health cases and recommend appropriate remedies, and strategies to address any related issues.
· Undertaking all aspects of the surveying functions required in the provision of a professional service and ensure that the Associations stock is maintained in the highest possible standard.
· Working with consultants, contractors, and customers in the delivery of improvement works to the associations stock.
Required Skills, Experience, Qualifications & Knowledge
· Relevant degree/HND or professional qualification in a related subject.
· Membership of a professional body e.g CIOB, RICS
· Be experienced in managing contractor's performance delivering building works at a project level including H&S, quality, value, progress and KPIs.
· Have a strong understanding of maintenance services within social housing sector (responsive, empty homes, planned, cyclical and compliance), and have a successful track record of delivering building surveying services or M&E projects, and management of work programmes (essential).
· Experience of working to set budgets whilst ensuring value for money.
· An understanding of current building legislation and wider sector issues relating to energy performance and building safety (essential).
· Demonstrable knowledge and experience of undertaking stock condition surveys and managing data (essential).
· Experience of working within the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
