When young people are given the opportunity to hear personal experiences firsthand, history becomes far more than something found in a textbook.

This session showed the value of bringing generations together, creating space for curiosity, conversation and a deeper understanding of the people behind our shared history.

Legasee Educational Trust’s Local Heroes programme helps young people develop valuable communication and media skills while recording important stories from within their communities.

The countdown is on.

Next month the T4S team will be taking on the UK 3 Peaks Challenge in support of ' Local Heroes campaign.

That means climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, with a lot of miles and very little sleep.

It’s a tough challenge, but we’re doing it for a cause we really believe in.

Legasee’s Local Heroes project helps preserve the stories of veterans and share them with schools, giving young people the chance to learn from real-life experiences that should never be forgotten.

The 3 Peaks Challenge is getting closer, and the T4S team are preparing to take on one seriously demanding 24-hour adventure in support of ’s Local Heroes campaign.

Next month we’ll be climbing the UK’s 3 highest peaks to help raise money for a charity doing incredible work with schools, preserving the stories of veterans and bringing real-life history into education.

It’s a huge physical challenge, but the cause behind it makes every step worth it.
