🚗 Senior Vehicle Technician – £40K–£55K + Bonus

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join a well-established, family-run motor group that has been successfully trading for over 30 years.

Our client operates across multiple vehicle divisions including used cars, luxury vehicles, campervans, and light commercial vehicles, offering technicians the chance to work on a wide and interesting range of stock — from everyday vehicles to brands such as Porsche, Aston Martin, and McLaren.

The business is hands-on, supportive, and offers excellent earning potential with real career progression.

💰 Package

£40,000 – £55,000 basic salary(depending on experience)
Bonus paid per hour sold
Overtime paid at 1.5x / 2x Sundays & Bank Holidays
Annual pay reviews
Monday – Friday
Optional 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (with Friday afternoon off)

We’re recruiting for multiple Field Diagnostic Technicians / Technical Delegates / Automotive Field Service Engineers across the Midlands, including Coventry, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, and Worcester.

We’re working with a global automotive engineering and technical services organisation supporting leading vehicle manufacturers and dealer networks across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their technical support team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Diagnostic Technician, Master Technician, or OEM Technical Specialist looking to move into a field-based role with real career progression.

🔧 The Role

You will provide advanced diagnostic and technical support to authorised repairers and dealer networks, both remotely and on-site, resolving complex electrical and electronic faults and helping reduce vehicle downtime.

You’ll also work closely with engineering and quality teams to identify repeat issues and support continuous improvement across the network.

Field Service Engineer (Automotive)

We’re working with a global automotive services organisation supporting leading vehicle manufacturers and dealer networks across Europe. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Field Service Engineer / Technical Delegate to support complex diagnostics and reduce vehicle downtime across the network.

🔧 The Role

You’ll be delivering on-site and remote technical support to dealerships and authorised repairers, resolving complex electrical and electronic faults, supporting first-time-right repairs, and feeding technical insight back into engineering and quality teams.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve complex vehicle faults (electrical, electronic, multiplexed systems)

Use OEM diagnostic tools for guided diagnostics, ECU programming, coding, and software updates

Support multiple sites across the UK and Europe, both on-site and remotely

Analyse systemic issues and define corrective actions

Produce clear technical reports and case documentation

Coach technicians and provide on-the-job training

Support technical assistance processes and KPI-driven case management

👤 About You

Strong background in automotive diagnostics, field service, OEM/importer technical support, or dealership workshops

Confident with advanced fault-finding, CAN/LIN/FlexRay networks, and modern vehicle systems

Hands-on experience with OEM diagnostic platforms (e.g. wiTECH, DiagBOX, or similar)

Comfortable working autonomously in the field and managing multiple cases

Strong communication and technical reporting skills

This role focuses on complex diagnostics, fault-finding, and root-cause analysis, supporting dealer technicians to achieve fix-it-right-first-time repairs. You’ll work closely with workshops via a techline and ticketing system—using your expertise to solve problems without the physical demands of the workshop.
