Based at Biggleswade and reporting to the Shift Leader, you will work 12-hour shifts Tuesday–Thursday, plus 17 flexi shifts a year.

35 weeks: 36 hours over three 12-hour shifts, Tuesday–Thursday.

17 weeks a year: 48 hours a week (four 12-hour shifts, adding Monday or Friday)

18:00 to 06:00

This role offers the opportunity to work across line processing and packing, supporting flexible operations while training, coaching, and developing other Multi-skilled Operatives.

The Shift Leader is looking for someone who can:

Model safe working, challenge unsafe behaviour, resolve minor machine faults, and guide others through problem-solving.
Support trainees with fault-finding, encourage learning, and contribute proactively to training and continuous improvement.
Uphold FSQ, hygiene, documentation, and checking standards, promoting team compliance and a safe, clean workplace.
Operate machinery safely and efficiently to SOPs and SSOW, ensuring quality, minimising waste, and completing checks, records, and training on time.
Equip trainees and operators to work safely, correctly, and efficiently so the line meets its targets.
Handle raw materials and pack products using specified machinery.

Supporting warehouse in all warehouse activities.

Processing received parcels and packages.

Preparation of a delivery route plan and deliveries.

Maintaining and tidying warehouse environment.

Maintaining and cleaning delivery vehicles.

Managing & communication Vehicle Servicing and Servicing dates.

Responsibility for the delivery vehicles fit for purpose.

Compile data and prepare a variety of delivery reports.

Recommends actions to improve warehouse and delivery efficiency.

Delivery to Customers, Collection from Suppliers and other driving related tasks.

Company Health and Safety Compliance.

Responsibility to report/feedback any issues involving Delivery, Collection or Warehouse activities.

Loading and Unloading/Unpacking within the Warehouse and surrounding environment.

Liaising directly with Customer/Suppliers in a professional courteous manner at all times, reporting any issues in relation to this behavioural requirement.

Maintaining and Filing customer delivery notes, and any other related Warehouse paperwork.

Fulfil customer consigned stock envoy responsibilities and supporting activities.

Conduct regular progress and communication meetings, with your line managers,

Compliance to presentation and Company uniform dress & cleanliness standards.

Operating customer service duties on customer sites.

Supporting and Maintaining Vending machines and their stocks on customer sites
