This role is for Head Chef at The Chequers Inn in Aylesford, ME20 postcode. We pride ourselves in giving our chefs the freedom to create awesome, seasonal dishes using fresh and local ingredients, to let your creativity shine.

We are looking for a the perfect person to join and lead the kitchen side of the family.

You will be:

- A great team leader, managing your team, maintaining great working ethics and morale throughout the group. Needless to say, you will work well under pressure.

- Passionate about everything you touch, turning raw ingredients into a hearty delicious plate of food which our customers love. Coaching your understudies to do the same with the gift of training skills.

- A mathematician, full understanding of GP’s, wastage and how to maximise on all profit areas within your business, implementing these always.

- Safety & hygiene conscious in all aspects of the business, up to date on COSH and HACCP with a current Health & Hygiene certificate.

You will report into the owners and the GM.
Assist the GM in the day to day running of the business
We are a customer focussed environment where service comes first, staff training will reflect this
Duty Manager shifts including opening, closing & daily tasks
Leading team training sessions
Maximising & maintaining operational standards
Contributing to stock control, ordering & yield management
Contributing ideas for promotions & marketing activities
Assisting in compliance with health & safety legislation and licensing laws in line with company policy
