The NSPCC Helplines provide a vital service by offering telephone and online support for adults concerned about the welfare of a child or young person.

π’ Permanent position
π’ 35 hours per week
π’ Based at the Lanyon Building, Belfast
π’ Salary of Β£34,582 per annum
π’ Additional 3.5% rota allowance
π’ Β£200 annual working-from-home allowance

About You:
This role is ideally suited to someone with significant safeguarding experience and a passion for protecting children and supporting families.
As a minimum, you will hold a Level 4 qualification in a safeguarding-related discipline and have a strong understanding of legislation, policy and best practice when responding to concerns about children.
Essential Requirements:

A recognised qualification in a safeguarding-related field such as social care, health, social work, education, law enforcement, youth justice, youth work or counselling.
β
Post-qualification experience in a role involving responsibility for safeguarding children and/or families.
β
A strong understanding of child development and the needs of children and young people.
β
Up-to-date knowledge of childcare legislation, safeguarding research and best practice guidance.
β
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β
Proven ability to provide advice and guidance to children and adults via telephone and written communication.
β
Ability to gather, assess and accurately record complex information.
