We were delighted to welcome a lovely group from Crumlin Young Farmers for a mill tour. The night started off with a welcome and a whistlestop tour of Thompsons in our conference room, given by our Head of Buying, Ed Brown.

The group were then taken on a tour around our York Road site, guided by Ed and two of our Formulations Team, Kathryn Gibson and Trudi Scott. It was also great to involve our own Young Farmers, who make up part of our Sales Team, Robyn McConnell and Ben Lindsay.

With lots of interest and great questions, it was a brilliant opportunity to showcase our mill and the agri-food industry as a whole, to these future farmers, formulators, sales reps, CEO's ..... who knows 🤔😀

Thompsons' Laura McConnell is looking forward to being a speaker at Bonanza Calf Nutrition's 'Total Calf 2026'. Laura will be joined on the expert line up by Joe Murphy, Dr Jim Quigley and Dr Emma Bleach. The team will be discussing and debating the management details that make the biggest difference, giving producers practical, evidence-based guidance that can be taken home. The difference between a calf that thrives and one that struggles often comes down to the small details.

There are two meetings that you can register for on Thursday 15th October 2026, with the morning meeting at 10.30am taking place in the Seagoe Hotel, Portadown and the evening meeting in the Leighinmohr House Hotel in Ballymena from 7.30pm.
