Participants in Dublin recently completed a 5 week Music Production Course after expressing an interest in careers in music, including singing, rapping and music production. 🎵

Delivered in partnership with Calvin Sweeney and the non-profit 1Unlimited, the course introduced participants to music production using Ableton software, helping them develop new creative and technical skills in a supportive learning environment.

Participants can now progress to intermediate and advanced courses, with opportunities to take part in masterclasses led by established DJs and music producers, as well as future studio based experiences.

It has been fantastic to see the enthusiasm and engagement from the participants who took part. A big thank you to Calvin and the Dublin team for helping make this opportunity possible. 👏👏

Not sure what to do after leaving school? You’re not alone 💭 Skills for Life and Work could be the perfect next step!

Gain recognised qualifications, build confidence, and get real work experience to support your journey into employment from our offices in Fermanagh, Derry and Belfast.

What the programme offers:
✅ Up to 30 hours per week of training and workplace experience
✅ £40 weekly Education Maintenance Allowance
✅ Bonus payments as you progress
✅ Support with travel and childcare (where eligible)

Eligibility criteria:
- Young people aged 16-21 years old.
- 16-24 years for those from a care background.
- Provide evidence of a disability.

What a day at Fandom Con 2026! 🎮✨

With over 1,500 attendees, the atmosphere all day was incredible. From amazing cosplay and gaming to live panels, merch, and nonstop entertainment across the ICC Belfast, there was excitement around every corner from start to finish.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the event so special. To our attendees, creators, vendors, panellists, and volunteers, thank you for bringing so much energy, creativity, and positivity to the day.

Fandom Con is a welcoming and inclusive space where like minded individuals can come together, celebrate their passion for gaming, and connect with others. It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the event throughout the day.

A special thank you to ICC Belfast for hosting this year’s event, and to The National Lottery Community Fund Northern Ireland and Lottery players for their support and funding towards Fandom Con 2026.

From handmade creations and original artwork to exclusive Fandom Con merchandise, the ICC Belfast has been packed with brilliant finds and fandom favourites all day long.
