Our NOW Connects participants from Fermanagh and Omagh recently came together for their annual summer trip. 🌞

The group enjoyed a boat trip aboard the MV Kestrel to Devenish Island, followed by a meal at The Firehouse in Enniskillen.

It was a fantastic opportunity for participants to catch up, spend time together and make new memories. 👏

What the programme offers:
✅ Up to 30 hours per week of training and workplace experience
✅ £40 weekly Education Maintenance Allowance
✅ Bonus payments as you progress
✅ Support with travel and childcare (where eligible)

Eligibility criteria:
- Young people aged 16-21 years old.
- 16-24 years for those from a care background.
- Provide evidence of a disability.

We were delighted to welcome Jay from Jays Barber Club to NOW Group HQ as part of our Extended Table Summersault event.

Jay shared his career journey, spoke about his work with homelessness and mental health, and gave pupils an insight into his role as a barber.

The pupils were fully engaged throughout the session and asked plenty of brilliant questions. A huge thank you to Jay for taking the time to join us and share his story! 👏

We were delighted to see NOW Group’s record graduation featured in Business Plus. 👏

More than 120 participants from Dublin, Louth, Monaghan and Cavan celebrated completing their employability and skills programmes at Dublin City Hall. 🎓

Catherine joined NOW Group after completing her degree in Childhood, Youth and Drama, with a clear ambition to become a Youth Worker. Determined to work towards her goal, Catherine embraced training, work placements and volunteering opportunities to build her skills and experience.

Her journey led her to Maghera Youth Centre, where she progressed from Volunteer Youth Worker to paid Bank Youth Worker. We’re delighted that Catherine has now secured a paid part time Youth Worker role with the centre. 👏

Catherine’s journey is a brilliant example of staying focused on a goal, embracing new opportunities and continuing to build experience along the way.

What a start to the season for the NOW Group football team! ⚽

A huge well done to the team on a brilliant performance at the Michael Morrison Foundation Cup. It was a fantastic day of football, with our players showing great teamwork, determination and spirit throughout the competition.

We are also delighted to be entering three teams in this season’s SBYL Inclusion League, creating even more opportunities for our players to take part, develop their skills and enjoy the game. 👏
