In this role, you’ll provide tailored classroom support to participants with additional needs, addressing barriers to learning through practical and pastoral support and individualised Personal Training Plans. You’ll also coordinate work placements, liaise with employers and provide job coaching to support participants’ learning and development.

What a fantastic few days at the Heineken Ahhh-cademy in Dublin! 🤩

Eleven NOW Group participants attended across three days, gaining hands on experience and training in bar and hospitality fundamentals.

From learning about the brewing process and bar safety to developing customer service skills, changing kegs and pouring the perfect pint, participants gained an insight into careers within the hospitality sector. Each received a Bar Fundamentals certificate and a Heineken gift bag.

All of the participants were fantastic, with a special mention for Precious, who scored maximum points in both her pint pouring and keg changing challenges! 👏🍺

A huge thank you to Alan Craughwell and Brian O’Leary from AssistiV Ireland for inviting us back again this year and creating such an inclusive and engaging learning experience for our job seekers.

NOW Group's CEO Maeve Monaghan recently visited the Hillgrove Monaghan to meet our newest Hospitality Academy intake and their tutor, Jacques Ras. Participants are developing practical skills to support their progression into paid employment in hospitality.

Maeve also caught up with NOW Group’s Kellie-Ann Coulter and Jennifer Hamill to hear more about our work on the Special EU Programmes Body - SEUPB funded Skills Connect programme and how we are building a cross border skills programme that prepares people for the world of work.

With our services growing across the border counties, we’re looking to build partnerships with businesses in Cavan, Monaghan and Louth.
