HSE Officer

6 months project - £320 - £350 per day

Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations
- Investigate complaints and incidents related to environmental health and safety
- Collect samples and perform tests to assess environmental quality
- Analyze data and prepare reports on findings
- Provide guidance and recommendations for improving environmental health and safety practices.
- Record and review all workplace accidents and incidents for reporting and statistical purposes.
-Ensure all equipment is operated safely.
-Keep up to date with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation that affect the company.
-Support the management team to maintain and improve ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 accreditation
- Develop and implement training programs on environmental health and safety practices

Desirable:
-Health and Safety experience within the marine or other heavy industry.
-Prior engineering manufacturing experience and knowledge
-Auditing experience of ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 management systems

Skills:
- Strong report writing skills to document findings and recommendations
- Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying issues
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to provide basic first aid when necessary

As an Environmental Health Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of individuals and the environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, investigating complaints, collecting samples, analyzing data, and providing guidance on environmental health and safety practices.
