WINNERS!! Best Company to Work For (Small) ๐Ÿ†ย 
In true โ€œBest Company to Work Forโ€ fashion, most of the team were actually in Palma enjoying our annual Top Performers trip when the awards took place! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿน

Thankfully, we had Shaun Hawkins on hand to fly the flag for HireIQ, and he was more than happy to step up and collect the trophy on behalf of everyone!

Needless to say, we didnโ€™t need another excuse to celebrate, but we certainly werenโ€™t going to turn one down! Celebrations were in full swing in both Belfast and the Balearic Islands. ๐Ÿฅ‚

On a more serious note, this is an award weโ€™re particularly proud of. Weโ€™ve always wanted to build a business where people genuinely enjoy coming to work, feel valued, are rewarded for their hard work and have the opportunity to build brilliant careers.

Our people are what make HireIQ what it is, and this award is a reflection of the culture weโ€™ve built together.

A massive thank you to the entire team and to Belfast Chamber for the recognition!

The shortlist is officially here!๐Ÿ† Weโ€™re incredibly proud to reveal the finalists for the inaugural HireIQ x Belfast Telegraph Accountancy Awards 2026. When we launched these awards, the goal was simple: to give Northern Irelandโ€™s Accountancy & Finance profession the recognition it deserves. And judging by the response, it was long overdue๐Ÿ’š The quality and volume of entries made the judging process no easy task, but the final shortlist is a brilliant reflection of the individuals, teams and businesses doing exceptional work across the profession. Fridayโ€™s agenda looked a little different...๐Ÿ‘€

At 12pm the laptops closed, the out-of-office replies went on, and Team HireIQ headed to Derry for our ๐’๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ ๐๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ฒโ˜€๏ธ

The itinerary looked something like this:
๐ŸŽ๏ธ Go-karting (where James McKenna somehow managed to take the chequered flag๐Ÿ)
๐Ÿจ Check-in at The Ebrington Hotel Derry
๐Ÿ” Dinner at thestitchandweave (10/10, by the way)
๐Ÿป A few drinks in The Thirsty Goat Derry to round off the night

There was plenty of competition, plenty of laughs and, unsurprisingly, a few sore heads the following morning๐Ÿฅด

We work hard, but we also think itโ€™s important to take time to celebrate the people behind HireIQ.

A great night at Business Excellence Awards last night๐Ÿฅ‚

The team headed to after being shortlisted for Small Team of the Year.

Being shortlisted was a huge achievement and a reflection of the incredible people we have across HireIQ. We might be slightly biased, but we genuinely believe this team is one in a million... and itโ€™s always nice when others recognise that too๐Ÿ’š

A huge congratulations to all of the winners on the night.

And a very special congratulations to our Non-Executive Director, Feargal McCormack, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award๐Ÿ†

Feargalโ€™s ambition, leadership and success have made a remarkable impact on the business community. His experience, guidance and support continue to play an important role in the growth of HireIQ, and weโ€™re incredibly fortunate to have him as part of our journey.

Recruitment can be a tough industry at times, and our team work incredibly hard every day. Thatโ€™s why, as a business, we always try to create an environment where people feel comfortable speaking openly, supporting each other, and taking a breather when needed.
