Today we had a lovely surprise visit from Christine at Amicus Trust who presented us with this Certificate of Appreciation 😊

Amicus Trust is an organisation for individuals between the ages of 18 – 65 who are rough sleeping, considered homeless or at risk of homelessness. Individuals may or may not have a range of complex needs including mental health issues, ex-offending, alcohol dependency or substance misuse.

When an individual moves into an Amicus Trust property they are supported in progressing towards their own home, breaking the cycle of homelessness.

An amazing turnout last night at Kings House in Bedford for the ‘Working with Universal’ event, it was a privilege to attend alongside 400+ businesses from across the region. The scale of what’s coming to our region is huge, with the numbers reflecting this - £50bn economic benefit for the UK, 20,000 construction jobs including 5,000+ on site at the peak, 8,000 direct jobs once operational…. the numbers are staggering. This development represents a transformational opportunity for the construction industry, local workforce and wider economy.

Vision Recruitment Group is strategically positioned as the closest specialist construction recruitment agency to the Universal United Kingdom Resort, providing a significant local advantage when supporting the recruitment requirements associated with such a major development.

A big thank you to Justin Richardson, Paula Devine, Scott Devine and the team at the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce for organising a hugely successful event.

Last Wednesday our very own Senior Recruitment Consultant, Stuart (AKA HGV Legend!) assisted Martin King and Richard Venstone of Kingstone Construction (Herts) Ltd on one of their projects involving moving work benches from one site to another by driving a 7.5 tonne lorry. Go Stuart!

Also helping on this project were 2 excellent Labourers, Errol S and Kesian Q. Great job all round guys! 👍

For providing Stuart’s time, Kingstone and VR Group will donate £250 to a chosen charity. The decision has been made to support a local Bedford charity called Amicus Trust.
