Warehouse Operator
Location: Shefford
Pay Rate: £13.66 per hour
Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract
Working Hours
Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern:
6:00am – 2:00pm
2:00pm – 10:00pm
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operator to join a busy and supportive team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders while maintaining high quality standards and adhering to all Health & Safety procedures.
You will also support day-to-day warehouse operations by checking incoming stock, confirming quantities and product condition, and ensuring items are stored correctly within the warehouse.
This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility and a willingness to carry out a variety of warehouse and yard duties, both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck licence
Experience using scanner guns and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
The physical fitness required for manual handling duties and outdoor work
A positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team
Good communication skills and strong attention to detail
Basic IT skills
The ability to work independently and use initiative
A strong commitment to Health & Safety procedures and company standards
Flexibility to work overtime when required
A full, valid driving licence
