Some partnerships just make sense.

I am excited to share that I am working more closely with The Padded Cell as it continues to evolve its vision of bringing together business, wellbeing and community.

From the outside, many people see The Padded Cell (CIC) as a wellbeing space. What has really inspired me though is the ambition behind it.

Russell and Steve have always talked about creating something much bigger than a place for recovery. Their vision is to build a community where business, leadership, health and human performance come together, recognising that workplace culture and individual wellbeing are inseparable.

As part of that journey, they are beginning to shape a network of Chairs. These are not traditional board positions. They are people who believe in the vision, bring experience from different sectors and can help shape conversations, challenge thinking and build meaningful partnerships.

I am delighted to be part of those conversations and to help develop the corporate and strategic partnership side of The Padded Cell.

Many of you know me through my work in recruitment and retention.

Throughout my career, one thing has become increasingly clear to me: people are every organisation's greatest asset. Recruiting exceptional talent is important however helping people feel supported, valued and well enough to thrive is what creates resilient, high-performing teams.

That belief is also why I have developed my own wellbeing offering as well over the last year and begun hosting sound sessions myself - follow me on instagram to see this journey expand & will be sharing some exciting corporate news too in the coming weeks. Taking time to slow down, recharge and reconnect is not a luxury. It is something every one of us needs, especially as business owners, leaders and busy professionals.

It feels right to be working alongside Russell and Steve again. We all first worked together through recruitment many years ago and it has been brilliant to reconnect around a shared belief that recruitment, retention, leadership and wellbeing should never be separate conversations. They all play a part in creating workplaces where people genuinely enjoy coming to work and have the opportunity to flourish.

This is just the beginning on my next chapter as I evolve and I am excited to see where the journey leads.

If you are passionate about building healthier workplaces, stronger teams and better leaders, I would love you to follow the journey and join the conversation.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this transition so far with words of encouragement and support - forever grateful and also all the amazing people I have worked with so far in my career 🙏

Is your team feeling quieter, slower or a little more disengaged right now?

It might not be a motivation issue, it could be seasonal stress.

January is one of the hardest months emotionally & people are navigating low mood, financial strain, tiredness and some people even the effects of SAD.

When this goes unrecognised, team connection can drop quickly and quietly.

A simple, human leadership approach in January can make a real difference to your team.

Why not try:

• acknowledging the pressure
• making one small adjustment per person
• checking in with kindness, not performance

I have shared the full breakdown along with practical ways to support teams through the January Blues, in this week’s blog.

I’d love to hear how you are supporting your team’s energy and wellbeing this January?

I am BIG on communication in the work place however as employers, we often talk about performance, productivity, and results.

But we don’t talk enough about how communication impacts wellbeing.

I see & hear from others:

* Unclear expectations.
* Silence.
* Last-minute pressure.

These are not just operational issues, they affect mental health.

* When communication lacks clarity or compassion, stress increases.
* When people don’t feel informed or heard, they disengage.

Wellness at work starts with how we communicate.

Clear, human communication is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to look after your people. At Success Recruit, we believe wellbeing and performance are not separate conversations. They are deeply connected.

As we head into a new year, I have been reflecting on something that doesn’t get talked about enough and something I feel passionate about: how we communicate at work and how it affects people’s wellbeing.

We all at one point have felt the January blues, the slow start after the festive period, the inbox that feels never-ending, and the pressure to hit the ground running.

What makes it harder is when communication isn’t clear or compassionate. Vague instructions, last-minute requests, or silence can make stress feel overwhelming & suddenly work doesn’t feel like a place of support.

At Success Recruit, we are passionate about helping organisations not just retain talent, but truly look after their people. Supporting wellness is about creating environments where people feel seen, heard, and able to bring their best selves to work.

One way to do this? Simple wellness practices like sound baths. They may sound unusual at first, but taking moments to slow down, recalibrate, and clear the mind can make a huge difference, helping employees feel calmer, more creative, and more connected.

Strong communication + intentional wellbeing = a workforce that feels supported, motivated, and ready to thrive.

I would love to hear from others: how are you supporting your teams’ wellbeing this year?

January gives us a chance to pause, reset and think about how we want our teams to feel at work, not just what we want them to deliver.

The way we communicate in these early weeks matters more than we often realise. It shapes confidence, connection & trust long before targets and KPIs come into play.

I have shared three simple communication resets in the carousel below. They are small leadership shifts that help teams feel clearer, calmer & more connected as the year begins.

I would love to hear from you: What is one thing you are doing this January to support your team and set the tone for the year ahead?
