Job Title:Assembly Fitter/ Field Service Engineer
Reporting to:the After Sales Manager
Main purpose of job: as Assembly Fitter/ Field Service Engineer you will work as part of our assembly & fitting team.
Main Duties:Based in our offices in Castledawson your responsibilities will include:
• Assembly fitting of manufactured & bought in components.
• Use of power and manual tooling.
• Reading and understanding of engineering drawings.
• Ensuring the safe and controlled movement of production parts.
• Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
• Travelling to customers sites to perform service, inspections, commissioning & system installation works.
Misc.: Much of your work will be field based, and you will be required to travel to customers premises in a company supplied van.
As an employee, you will be representing Ulster Shredders at all times. For this reason, you must always conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner.
We will expect you to:
• Be honest, punctual, and dependable.
• Be aware of all company policies regarding Health and safety.
• Know your limits and seek advice/guidance from peers when necessary.
Hours of work: 38 hours per week-
Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 5.30pm.
However, on occasions you will be required to work additional hours for the proper performance of your duties paid at the agreed contracted rate.
