Field / Office based Installation Engineer

Findem are currently working with an industry leading business who are currently experiencing a period of sustained growth and are looking to add an Installation engineer to their team.

The role will be based in Great Dunmow but will require frequent travel across the south of England and occasional travel further afield. Working in the construction industry you will be required to work on active building sites installing and removing specialist environmental testing equipment along with assembling and maintaining units when not in the field. Full training will be provided, although a background within construction and having a technical skillset would be advantageous. The role will cover a wide range of responsibilities which will include:

• Visits to sites to install and remove test equipment
• Maintenance of hire equipment to the highest possible standards
• Design and building of equipment for hires and sales such as
adapters, battery supplies, cables and noise monitor alarms
• Frequent use of Microsoft office software, accounts software and
calibration and testing packages
• Creation and maintenance of product history, calibration and
maintenance logs

You will be provided with a works van which you can take home and all expense will be covered. Additionally, the role offers a competitive salary plus substantial company bonus scheme and four weeks holiday rising to five weeks.

To be successful in the position you require the following skills and attributes:

• Happy working independently often with little supervision
• Able to travel and occasionally stay away from home during the
working week
• Have a full clean UK driving licence
• Holding a current CSCS Card would be desirable but not essential
• Able to work at height whilst moving equipment weighing up to
25kg
• Prior experience working in a technical trade e.g. electrician,
plumber or engineering would be beneficial but not essential
• Proactive work attitude

Findem are currently working with a growing accountancy practice in their search for a new team member to help them continue to expand and become a fully digital practice. The role represents a great career opportunity where you will help to shape the future of the business whilst providing support and mentoring to junior members of staff.

Whilst no two days will be the same, some of the responsibilities are as follows:

- Supervise and mentoring of the support team alongside other members of the senior
management team
- Establish positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Preparation and review of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax
returns, VAT returns, management accounts and adhoc reporting where required to
meet client needs
- Managing a portfolio of SME clients from a wide range of sectors
- Provide general software and bookkeeping knowledge in order to support clients
with their day to day practical accounting needs.

To be successful in the role, along with a great attitude, you will require the following skills and attributes:

- Previous knowledge and experience of using Xero accountancy software or IRIS
Suite
- Ideally hold a recognised accountancy qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA or have
demonstrable, relevant experience
- Have prior experience of working within an accountancy practice

The business covers a broad and varied client base across Cambridge and East Anglia with a focus on private client work.

Some of the areas that this role will cover include:
- Completion of Self-Assessment tax
returns including calculating tax
amounts and ensuring these are
submitted in-line with HMRC deadline.
- Working with managers and clients to
help reduce tax liabilities and provide
sound advice.
- Provide clear communication to clients
to ensure they are kept up to date and
receive a high standard of customer
service.
- Work with and provide support to the
wider team.
- Liaising with HMRC with tax queries and
to resolve issues.

To be successful in this position you will need the following skills and attributes:

- Previous experience of calculating and
submitting tax returns within a practice
or bookkeeping environment.
- Strong team player who can work off
their own initiative.
- Good communication skills and
comfortable dealing with clients.

Whilst formal qualifications such as ATT, AAT or CTA would be great these are not essential, and experience will be considered over qualifications.
