24 hours without business telecoms in 2025 — it's hard to believe this is still happening.
Noreen Mckechnie: As the owner of Diamond Search Recruitment Ltd operating from managed serviced offices at Regus / IWG, I find it incredibly frustrating that we’ve experienced a complete telecoms outage for 24 hours, with no resolution in sight.
What’s even more concerning is the lack of any meaningful contingency plan from Regus. In this day and age, there should at the very least be a basic solution in place — such as call diversion, an answering service, or any form of communication to mitigate the disruption.
Running a small business is already full of challenges. Reliable telecoms are not a luxury; they are a critical operational necessity. We rely on our service providers to keep us connected and functioning — right now, that support feels seriously lacking. Unbelievable!

Another day, another business networking event, organised by the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce. Today we were at the beautiful Chilston Park Hotel, an amazing Kent venue, perfect for a wedding, business event or dinner! Noreen Mckechnie and Pip Twiner were delighted to represent Diamond Search Recruitment Ltd, as a KICC Patron company. We met with both new and existing business connections and had great conversations! The Buck's Fizz was flowing and everyone was photo ready!

This week, the Kent & Medway Manufacturing Focus Group took place at the picturesque Champneys Health Spa Eastwell Manor. This event offered a valuable networking platform and insight into the Carbon Levy, designed to combat Carbon Leakage. Additionally, EKC Ashford College EKC Ashford College shed light on the advantages TLevel students offer to businesses and the significance of employers providing placement opportunities. It was good to attend the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce Growth of Ashford - Economic Development Seminar yesterday. Great insight from CEO Tudor Price, Susan Bonett from EKC Ashford College, Tom Jenkins MIED MIPM from Ashford Borough Council, Ben Geering from Quinn Estates and an opportunity to hear from MP Sojan Joseph. Ashford has a vibrant business community and is a great place to work, study and live!
