We’re incredibly proud to be supporting the Founders House cohort heading to SF Tech Week this October, showcasing some of the brilliant technology and innovation being built here in Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Our Founder & CEO Michael Young will be travelling to San Francisco alongside the cohort, helping the founders make connections, open doors and build relationships across the US tech ecosystem.

From AI and robotics to energy, healthtech and fintech, it’s a fantastic group of ambitious Scottish companies with global potential.

For MBN, it’s also another opportunity to strengthen the bridge between the Scottish, UK and US technology ecosystems — connecting great companies with great people.

What a night for the Scotland Applied AI community 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A huge thank you to Colin Parry Founder of Head for Data for a brilliant session on The Hidden Engineering Behind Production AI.

A proper look beyond the hype , into what it actually takes to get AI out of the demo environment and working reliably in production.

And an even bigger thank you to everyone who turned up.

A full house, loads of questions, great discussion and a genuinely interactive session. That’s exactly what these meetups should be about.

We’ve been building this community for years, and seeing a room packed with people who want to learn, share experiences and push Applied AI forward in Scotland is fantastic.

Massive thanks as well to Barclays Innovation Hub powered by Eagle Labs Glasgow for giving us a brilliant space for these events, and to the MBN Solutions team for continuing to support and invest in the community.

Expanding into the US has been a natural next step, and we’ve been fortunate to partner with ambitious companies building the future of AI.

Today we launched The AI Decision Room in Edinburgh.

We are delighted to partnered with The Data Lab - Innovation Centre for our first event, we brought together around 50 senior business leaders for a very different kind of conversation. Great to work with The Data Lab - Innovation Centre team on today’s event.

No slides.
No buzzwords.

Just real, honest discussion about how organisations are actually making decisions around AI.

A huge thank you to our outstanding panel, McKinley Muir Hyden from Skyscanner, Stuart McMeechan from OpenAI and Victoria Ferrier from Wild.

And to Atholl Duncan, Co-Founder The AI Decision Room for being an exceptional chair.

The quality of insight and challenge set the tone from the outset.

And to everyone who attended, the engagement in the room was exceptional.

It’s clear this conversation is needed.

Michael and Joshua from MBN Solutions spent the start of the week in London - Some brilliant meeting discussing Data & AI Talent with some exciting companies, watch this space 📈

They also had the opportunity to join the AI International Leadership Learning Journey for the presentations - genuinely great to see so many Scottish-based organisations represented and contributing at this level.

Proud moment seeing our colleague, Mohammed Khaleed presenting to the audience - he was brilliant and great to see him sharing his knowdlege of what’s happening in AI.

We have had brilliant conversations with business leaders on what really separates AI leaders from the rest, and, as ever, it’s rarely the tech.

Also, huge privilege to listen to André Balleyguier present last night, his talk was outstanding, can’t wait to see his journey at his new company, Anthropic (exciting times ahead)

Huge credit to Scottish Enterprise , Highlands and Islands Enterprise , South of Scotland Enterprise , The Data Lab - Innovation Centre , and the Scottish AI Alliance for bringing this together and showcasing the depth of AI leadership thinking coming out of Scotland.
