JOB SUMMARY:
The role is responsible for the development of the Dubai On Trade channel, identifying new business opportunities, partnering with the distributor to negotiate sales agreements and offer profitable investment support to foster brand activations, to deliver brand objectives both quantitatively (volume and profit) and qualitatively (distribution, visibility, activation, consumer engagement) for all Pernod Ricard brands across the On-Trade channel. This shall be delivered through effective strategic planning, commercial excellence and the implementation of the Commercial & Brand’s strategy developed in conjunction with, Trade Marketing & Marketing teams. Building long term, sustaining direct relations with the Key Account Managers from the distributor and key customer accounts.

The incumbent will be the driver of change on how we do business in On-trade: improve partnership with and management of distribution partners, start to pe*****te new sub-channels/new brands, develop new business, improve business planning and internal cross-department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB-RELATED CHARACTERISTICS:

• Manage and partner with distributor team to deliver commercial objectives for PRG Brands and gain share of market
• Support the On Trade commercial strategy development, negotiation, influence, and relationship building with key stakeholders
• Proactively search and find new business opportunities in the On Trade that build up to the company’s objectives (commercial and brand strategy)
• Support the creation of the Annual Business Plan (ABP) for the market with SMART KPIs, (both for the incumbent and distributor KAMs), as well as negotiating the RPVA Trade Marketing plans with each On Trade account, in partnership with the Trade Marketing team
• Reach sales targets and defined sales KPIs
• Build relationship with key influencers/decision makers within the distributor and On Trade customers based on trust, expertise, and reliability
• Maintain existing accounts and gain new accounts per priorities/objectives set, in respect of the allocated resources
• Support the RPVA plans per customer to ensure flawless ex*****on
• Build profitable business models per account to ensure a win-win approach

About The Role

This role will be responsible for accelerating the development of the seed portfolio (including a range of brands within white spirits and other whiskies) in the Gulf Region in both On trade and Off trade Channels.
The candidate filling this role will be the champion of the brands in his/her scope, and expected to gain a high level of Knowledge in the respective categories to inspire, educate and engage different stakeholders within the industry ranging from floor staff to bartenders, bar managers, merchandiser F&B managers and restaurant CEO’s and owners

Responsibilities
There are 5 areas of focus where the brand ambassador will make a difference.
BRAND EDUCATION

• Lead the development of sampling, tastings and advocacy programs

Main Purpose
The aim of this role is to translate brand plans into On Trade channel ex*****on, delivering marketing activity that will increase consumer demand for our brands.
Working closely with Brand teams, commercial teams, and customers, this position will design and implement brand activations that take place in venues, in order to build brand equity, drive footfall and increase rate of sales.

Key Responsibilities and Job-Related Characteristics:

1. Global hotel agreement implementation
• Optimize the global hotel agreement implementation (Brand listing, pouring, brands visibility on menu, training program)
• Develop collaborative relationships with key hotels customers, based on category approaches and mutually beneficial business initiatives. Establish Pernod Ricard as an essential business partner.
• Manage, monitor and assess performance / compliance of the international deals on a regular basis monitoring Internal spend.
• Be a key local support for the International Hotel Programs (IHP).

2. Brand Activation
• Planning: Prioritize hotel accounts, support to prepare annual activation plan, PVA ex*****on, brand wise activation calendars and implementation in collaboration with all stakeholders
• Support the creative and design process to create impactful PVA strategies and toolkits / assets to implement in the channel
• Proactively manage the development and delivery of Brand Plans into hotel through activation.
• Deliver best in class Brand Activation, category management and merchandising across all touch points
• Implement bespoke On trade visibility (ad-hoc branding), enhance the cocktail experience and innovate at the point of sale
• Support and manage ad-hoc in-venue brand events and activations
• Assist in analyzing marketing hotel data (RSP pricing, campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
• Evaluate activity based on sales uplift, ROI, and specific objectives of each activity
• Any other ad hoc projects assigned that could include the launching of a new brand, a brand extension, or a focused drive on a specific existing brand

3. Collaboration & Influence
• Work closely with the HQ International hotel program team to ensure the implementation of the global agreement
• Work in conjunction with PRG sales teams to ensure that activation plans are agreed with customers and ensure brand and commercial objectives are achieved
• Collaborate and build relationships with KAM’s and Brand Teams within the Distributor team(s) to ensure best in class ex*****on in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain strong and healthy relationships with key account stakeholders and venues

• Collaborate with external parties (L3F agency, event agency, advertising agency, production house, etc.) for preparing promotion materials or sponsorship.

• To liaise with the respective Category and Marketing Managers to ensure that the Company and principals fully capitalise on joint opportunities in the On Trade and for the growing calendar of international events.
• Major focus on adopting activation plans for lead brands to drive distribution, promotions, incentives, customer staff training and events and to deliver strategic & tactical activations in target outlets.
• Supporting KAMs in negotiation of contracts for existing and new accounts to maximize revenue & profit for the Company and increase market share.
• To ensure that regular reviews are carried out with top accounts to maintain relationships, check off adherence to account plans and analyse performance versus budget with a consultative approach.
• Establish & build customer relationships at a senior level across key accounts to retain and maximize the revenue earning potential of all accounts.
• Liaise with the Wine, Spirits & Beer Category Managers on a structured and regular basis in order to highlight and quantify opportunities for listings, activation, revenue & GP growth.
• Regular regional meetings with counterparts across the business to review ‘Group’ contracts and align customer agreements for hotel groups with Abu Dhabi, Dubai and other Emirates.
• Activate incentives for the KAMs with individual KPIs aligning with company profit and distribution objectives to motivate the team to go the extra mile.
• To perform regular reviews with all direct reports so that personal development plans are executed to drive performance across the team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION - Graduate

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 6 years sales experience with 3 years managing key accounts & leading a team.
• Wine and spirits qualifications preferable (e.g., WSET)
• Good numerical ability & strong commercial acumen
