💙🍫 Sometimes, the smallest gestures mean the most. 🍫💙

Today, I received a lovely surprise from a service user and her family, who kindly bought me chocolates as a thank you. ❤️

Recently a family needed help, as someone they love was going through a particularly difficult time.

Sometimes, working in care means going above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. It means staying calm when someone is frightened, being a reassuring presence when they feel alone, and continuing to look for help until you know they are safe, even if that means staying with them until 1am.

That evening/morning was a reminder that behind every person we support is a human being with feelings, fears and a family who need support too.

We don’t go into care expecting chocolates, gifts or recognition. We do it because people matter.

But when a family takes the time to say thank you, especially after a difficult time, it touches your heart more than they probably realise. 🥹💙

Care is more than a service. It’s about people, compassion and being there when it matters most.

🌟Meet the Team: Sharon🌟

Meet Sharon, our Administrator 💙

Behind every great care team is an office team working away in the background to keep everything running smoothly.

Our support workers are the ones out in the community, providing hands-on care, companionship and support, but none of that happens without the people behind the scenes making sure everything is organised and our service users’ needs are heard and responded to.

Our office team team is often the first point of contact when a service user or family member has a question, concern or simply needs a little help. They keep communication flowing, support the care team and help make sure the day-to-day running of our service is as smooth as possible.

For Sharon, it’s all about making a difference in those little moments. As she says, “Being able to help with any service users’ queries and putting a smile on their face makes me feel good.” ❤️

We truly believe every member of our team plays an important part in delivering outstanding care. Whether you’re visiting someone in their home or answering the phone in the office, you’re part of the same team with the same mission. 💛

💙 World Alzheimer’s Day 💙

Today, we remember and stand alongside the millions of people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, as well as the families, friends and carers supporting them every single day.

Dementia can change an individual so much, but the person is still there! Their memories may fade, their words may become harder to find, and familiar things may become unfamiliar, but they still deserve to be treated with patience, dignity, kindness and respect.

At Care with Dignity, we believe great care is about seeing the person behind the condition.

It’s about taking the time to listen. It’s about reassurance when someone is frightened or confused. It’s about preserving independence for as long as possible. And sometimes, it’s simply about sitting beside someone and making them feel safe.

💙 Today, we remember.
💙 Today, we raise awareness.
💙 Today, we celebrate the people behind the diagnosis.

Because every person has a story, and every person matters.

We’re delighted to introduce Amy, the newest member of the Care with Dignity family! 💙

Amy joined us recently and successfully passed her probation last month. We’re so pleased to have her officially become part of the CWDP team. 💛

Amy has a real passion for helping others and is driven by empathy, compassion and making a positive difference to the people she supports.

She’s already been making a huge impression with her colleagues and the people we support, and we’re excited to see her continue to grow in her role. ❤️

🏆FROM SILVER TOWARDS CHAMPION 🏆

We’re incredibly proud to share that Care with Dignity Partnerships has been selected as a case study as we work towards progressing from Silver Status to Champion for our training provision. 💙💛

For us, training has never been about simply ticking a box. It’s about creating learning that is relevant, engaging and practical, giving our team the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to provide OUTSTANDING person-centred care.

We share with you a tiny snippet of the amazing testimonials we have received. Our team have expressed what our training means to them and these words mean so much to us because they demonstrate what we strive to achieve every time we deliver training: learners who feel supported, confident, engaged and able to put their learning into practice.

Our journey from Silver towards Champion is about continually developing, listening to our learners and making sure our training makes a genuine difference to the people we provide care to.

We receive enquiries for our training from other care providers just through word of mouth and love that we can support other carers accross the county and even further afield.

We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and excited to see where this next step takes us. 💙💛

🌟 I purposely waited for today to announce August Carers of the Month 🌟

With today being the start of Professional Care Workers Week, there was simply no way I could choose just one member of our team.

It feels like the perfect opportunity to recognise every single one of our incredible care professionals.

Every day, they show up for the people we support with compassion, patience, kindness and professionalism. They do the things that often go unseen, make difficult days easier, bring comfort when it’s needed most, and make a genuine difference to people’s lives.

So this month, there isn’t just one Carer of the Month.

There’s a whole team. ❤️

🎉 100 YEARS OF A LIFE WELL LIVED 🎉

Today, we’re celebrating an incredibly special milestone for one of our wonderful service users as he turns 100 years old! 💙💛

A century of memories, experiences, stories, laughter, love and life is something truly extraordinary.

We were so proud to help him celebrate this incredible occasion, surprising him with a special birthday cake and some rather spectacular balloons! 🎂🎈

And there was another very special surprise…

💌 A birthday card from Their Majesties The King and The Queen, sent to mark his 100th birthday.

What an incredible achievement and such a wonderful moment to celebrate.

We’re privileged to be a part of his journey and to have the opportunity to share in moments like these. ❤️

I was just having a little ponder over who stood out to me the most for Carer of the Month (because they all do and it’s always so hard) and then realised I’d been so busy this summer that I hadn’t even announced July’s yet! 🤦‍♀️

Chantal has been working on a new initiative behind the scenes at CWDP and we are nearly ready to announce it! 💙

Chantal deserves all the credit for this initiative, which is going to change lives and bring a little bit of extra joy to those who need it most. ❤️

It’s something we’ve been working on quietly for a while, and I honestly couldn’t be prouder of what Chantal has created. Her passion, creativity and determination have been incredible, and she has gone above and beyond to turn an idea into something that we hope will make a real difference.

We’re not quite ready to tell you everything just yet… 👀

But watch this space, because we’ll be sharing more very soon and, when we do, we’ll be inviting our wonderful community to get involved. 💛
