🚨 NEW STCW TRAINING REQUIREMENT: HARASSMENT & BULLYING PREVENTION
Amendments to the STCW Code introduced new mandatory training requirements addressing violence and harassment at sea, including sexual harassment, bullying and sexual assault.

The aim? To help seafarers recognise inappropriate behaviour, understand how to prevent it, and know how to respond to and report incidents.

⚓ What does the training cover?
• Recognising harassment, bullying and other forms of misconduct
• Understanding their impact on crew safety, health and wellbeing
• Prevention, reporting and appropriate responses
• Promoting a safer and more respectful working environment on board

📅 Important deadline: 31 March 2027

The UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency has set this deadline for affected UK-certified seafarers who must complete the additional training.

If you're working in the superyacht industry, check the requirements applicable to your certification and vessel's flag state, and make sure you understand what you need to do.
