The Monaco Yacht Show fleet in numbers.

116 yachts registered for this year’s show, 98 of them already named and 17 stands still to be unveiled. Nearly a third of the fleet sits between 50 and 70 metres, nine of the named yachts are 70 metres or more, and 45 are 2026 deliveries arriving in Monaco for their first season.

For crew, three things stand out. Larger yachts mean larger, more structured teams. With 71 yachts for sale, owner changes will follow through the winter. And every new build needs its first crew.

We’re hiring! Louise, our Interior Team Leader, introduces the newest opening in the YPI CREW team: an Interior Recruitment Specialist.

You’ll be working with an established team in Antibes, sourcing and placing top Stew and Specialist Stew talent, and bringing candidates and clients together all the way to the job-offer stage. Recruitment experience from any industry is welcome, and we’ll teach you the yachting side.

The Cannes Yachting Festival returns to the Vieux Port and Port Canto from 8 to 13 September, and YPI CREW will be there.

A heads-up for anyone whose PSSR certificate predates this year.

Additional training on preventing and responding to violence and harassment is now required for anyone holding a PSSR certificate dated before 1 January 2026, and it applies to UK CoC and CoP holders too.

The module is free, takes about an hour, and is delivered online by OneOcean under reference 0900. There is no final assessment. You will receive a digital Verification of Training rather than a new certificate, so keep it somewhere you can produce it.

Deadline: 31 March 2027.

Worth noting that this is the UK position. Other flag states have read the same IMO amendment differently, so check what your flag expects.

Anyone can lay a table. Interior crew build an experience.

Sightlines, height, colour, texture, and the whole thing styled to hold up while the yacht is moving. This is creativity under pressure, and it is one of the most underrated skills onboard.

A spectacular array of superyachts off the Costa Smeralda in mid August, captured on BOATPro this morning.

We can see more than 45 vessels at anchor between Cala di Volpe and Porto Rotondo, one of the densest concentrations anywhere in the Mediterranean right now.
