Job summary
Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Provides quality customer service, explains to patient in a clear manner, and provide information.
• Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and es**rt patients to dressing and x-ray rooms.
• Follow instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging.
• Correctly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position.
• Position patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images.
• Consult with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be taken.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; following drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media; and administering first aid and using the emergency cart.
• Independently performing or assisting a licensed practitioner in performing procedures such as mammograms, X-ray exams, MRIs.
• Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
• Maintain patients’ records during and after procedures.
• Ensure the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment.
• Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order and report equipment malfunctions to operation manager.
• Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs and placing orders.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Perform related administrative duties including completing necessary forms, labeling films and film envelopes and maintaining procedure logs.

• Installs and tests software updates, antivirus, and patch programs to support various applications and various desktop and laptop computers for area Office and centers;

As per the directive of FDRE Agency for Civic Organizations: DIRECTIVE NO 937/2022, which allows and regulates civic organizations to engage in income-generating activities, STEM power aims to embark on income-generating activities. With the same notion, STEM Power wants to recruit one Ethiopian on a contract basis where the contract can be renewed annually as needed by the organization. The primary focus of the assignment will be to analyze the potential STEM power activities for conversion into income generation, with a particular emphasis on the Fab Lab section. Additionally, the officer will be responsible for soliciting funding from local and international organizations, particularly bilateral and multilateral organizations with a high inclination for STEM education. This will involve grant writing and subsequent follow-up to realize the designed programs.
Duties and responsibilities
• Evaluate various departments and operations of STEM power to identify potential business development ideas and projects.
• Collaborate closely with the Fab Lab team to identify innovative tech-based projects for commercialization.
• Conduct extensive market research to identify potential business opportunities and develop business plans for promising ideas and projects.
• Collaborate with the finance team to plan and execute budgets for business development activities.
• Draft and obtain approval for a five-year Business Development Strategy for
• Manage the income-generating wing of STEM power in coordination with the relevant STEM power team.
• Undertake any other relevant activities as necessary.
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure financial support from various sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding organizations to secure support.
• Research funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships, and prepare grant proposals and funding applications.
• Develop grant proposals by building convincing cases for different kinds of donors such as individuals, private companies, associations, and governmental and nongovernmental organizations as needed.
• Coordinate fundraising events and campaigns to raise awareness and generate support for STEM Power's mission and projects.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities and adjust
• strategies as needed to meet fundraising targets.
• Maintain accurate records of donors, donations, and fundraising activities using CRM or other relevant systems.
• Collaborate with the communications team to develop fundraising materials, including appeal letters, brochures, and online campaigns.
• Provide regular reports to the management team and board of directors on Business Development and fundraising activities, progress, and outcomes.

Job Requirements
Required Entry Qualifications and Competencies
Formal Education
• Master’s degree (in regular admission type ) in business administration, marketing, economics, finance, or related field and 2 years relevant work experience. Or a Bachelor's degree in business Administration/Management preferred (in regular admission type) and 5 years relevant work experience.
• Proven experience in business development, fundraising, or related fields, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
• Proficiency in budget planning and financial management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
• Knowledge of grant writing and fundraising techniques.
• Commitment to the mission and values of STEM power.
Professional Experience
• At least 2 years of professional and relevant work experience for Masters's degree and 5 years of professional and relevant work experience for a Bachelor’s degree
• From which 2 years of direct work experience in business development or fundraising
