Starting a new technical project?

There’s plenty to think about before day one, especially when the project involves travel, a new site or unfamiliar processes.

Before you set off, make sure you know the basics. Where are you going? Who are you reporting to? What are the working hours? Is accommodation arranged? Do you need specific site access, qualifications, tools or PPE?

They might sound like small details, but getting them sorted beforehand can make your first day a lot easier.

And yes, amongst all those conversations, there may have been the occasional yacht and glass of rosé.

Flying. Just underwater. 🌊

One of the more unusual pieces of technology on display at Monaco Yacht Show this week is CudaJet, a wearable electric propulsion system designed to let you “fly” underwater.

And behind the spectacle is some serious engineering.
Designed and built in England, it brings together electric propulsion, hydrodynamics and lightweight engineering in one very unusual piece of kit.

A good example of just how varied the technology surrounding the superyacht world has become.
