FIRST MATE – OYSTER 885 | US East Coast & Caribbean then Oyster World Rally 2028 | Start June 2026

Seeking experienced, personable crew for a one-year-old Oyster 885 running with 4 crew under new ownership.

THE PROGRAM:
New England cruising – Summer/Early Fall 2026
BVI season – Winter 2026/27
Return to New England – Summer 2027
Oyster World Rally 2028 preparation and participation

Primarily private use with possible light charter TBC. Cayman Islands flag.

The owners are relaxed, hands-on family sailors with previous Boston–Bermuda and Caribbean experience. They enjoy being involved onboard and are looking for crew who are professional without a formal “superyacht” approach.

Ideal candidates will be:
• Friendly, adaptable, and easy-going
• Strong sailors with cruising/offshore experience
• Professional yachtsmen/women who are familiar with the regulated life on board and equally comfortable in a family-oriented environment
• Team players with a positive attitude
• Happy to encourage owner/family involvement onboard

No preference regarding tattoos or gender — personality fit and professionalism matter most.

What a great catch up last week at the Oyster Crew Sunset Bar (aka the Oyster Yachts office) A little thankyou for our hardworking Oyster Crews who are preparing for the season ahead and beyond. Some old friends reunited and some new bonds formed. Always a fun evening. Thanks everyone for coming.
A big thankyou also to Delicioso who provided the bar, some very tasty nibbles and importantly Martin, our marvellous waiter who made sure no-one was left holding an empty glass!

STARTING THIS WEEK from Palma de Mallorca, we are looking for a First Mate to join this crew of 3 on a luxurious and busy 82ft charter sailing yacht with an active Mediterranean summer program in Italy, France and Spain.

This popular charter yacht will also be used privately by the owning family when she is not on charter. This boat is always on the move so candidates need to be ready for a fast paced and rewarding season.

We are looking to start with an initial seasonal contract to October 31st , 2026.

Location of crew preferably in Palma for interviewing purposes but open to those who are available immediately.

CALLING ALL PASSIONATE AND ADVENTUROUS SAILORS! This yacht is going to be sailing a lot!

STARTING IN APRIL, we are looking for a permanent Captain and Chef/Stew couple team for this 95ft SY bound for long term adventures in some awesome destinations. Having already spent 2026 cruising the Med/Caribbean/US and Greenland, this is not 'just talk'.

She will be heading to Norway this summer season and then has her sights set on Panama and the Pacific for an adventurous 2027. Current plans (tbc) include British Columbia and /or Chile.

Needless to say this is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced couple who are strong team players, working within a cosy, multiskilled crew of 4 where a positive, inclusive environment is essential. A strong background in running similar size sailing yachts is necessary. The yacht is for private and charter use so familiarity with the running of commercial and private yachts is a distinct advantage as is experience sailing in high latitudes.

Full MLC contract on offer, featuring a competitive salary and opportunities for bonuses.
Ideally we are looking for a long term commitment of three years if all goes well.

Starting in March - An exciting opportunity for a pro-active, enthusiastic and skilled sailing team to help run this beautiful, brand new Oyster 595 as a Captain qualified 1st Mate and Deck/Cook. The owners have just set sail from Antigua with the Oyster World Rally 2026 and are bound for Panama. The yacht is currently fully crewed until Galapagos. They are looking for like minded, passionate sailors who want to develop a good working relationship alongside the owners. They want the crew to really take pride in this yacht, help to keep everyone safe and enjoy the adventure. This is a strictly vegetarian yacht so applying crew will be ok not to eat meat while on board.
